Hope you got your flu shot, I say hypocritically (I didn't)

No, only time I got a flu shot was when I volunteered at the Hospital.

No drilling at the dentist, but a temporary filling. Apparently, I need a crown (me, an anti-monarchist). These things are expensive, even on the NHS. Even more painful than the drill.

At least the cappuccino was good and I discovered some interesting new beers at my favourite offie.

Made it home! Think I will rest today.

Tom, both my children are Dentists and they are married to Dentists....one expense I don't have to worry about.

I could have used some other professions though. :)

A quick shot of a rather grey Edinburgh day (with trams) and the excellent Le Marche Francais coffee shop.

Woke up late to all bad news, a shooting in California and the UK has started bombing Syria, I feel I need more than coffee to get moving today.
It's 40f and raining here and the highlight of the day is an expedition to Maxidom a superstore on the outskirts of the city, selling homewares, anything from a light bulb to a complete kitchen. (Dom is home in Russian)
We need a new mixer tap for the bathroom. The existing one is as old as me and in about the same condition worn out and not functioning too well.
Have a good day everybody I hope the news gets better as the day unfolds. I feels it's a iluhyg.jpg

I've been without news for a week (TV guy coming this am and I don't get a newspaper).
I guess I'd better brush up on the latest online…or not. Sounds dreadful.

Downloading and posting is slow . Is it just me or is anyone else noticing a difference?

    Good morning….

    Good Morning folks...

I've got a later start to work today...gonna go in about lunchtime. The weather here in London is grey, dismal..and very windy..not exactly enticing me to want to leave my cosy house

Anyway yesterday was a very anxious day..I had an MRI with contrast at the new state of the art Radiology department at our nearest large hospital. I was really impressed with all the new Scanners..everything looked beautiful..and verrry Space age.

I've had many MRI's and Cat Scans before, but this was soo much more modern , White, bright and airy, instead of the usual dim radiology room with it's massive dull cream coloured coffin like spaceship.

That said I've never had too much of a problem with claustrophobia in the machine like so many people do..as long as I keep my eyes closed..and sometimes they'll play music..but there's only a finite time I can be in there before I'd start to feel buried alive!!

Anyway..yesterday everything goes as it should..the Scan was for my head and neck area..and I was placed in the Magnetom on my back with the cannula in my arm which would feed in the contrast, and a large perspex boxlike Mask on my head ..hannibal lectar style ...40 minutes max they said it would take ...great says I, I can just about manage that without starting to feel panic . By the time 30 minutes came around..I was beginning to feel the pain in my already herniated lumber discs..and I really was counting down mentally the last few minutes. Then the throbbing and the whining of the Giant white coffin structure ceased, everything went quiet, I breathed a sigh of relief ..and a few minutes later the radiographer came with a nurse and helped me out of the machine....and then said...'''sorry the machine has broken down, we got everything but the last 6 minutes, so we'll have to get you to wait until we can repair it''....arrrgggggghhh!!:(:( well so much for the brand new state of the art machine'' Ultimately they did find the fault , and I had to return and have the whole thing done all over again...quite traumatic actually.. 3 hours total!! ...but now it's done and hopefully they'll have got everything so I can get repaired just like a brand new automaton.. :)

It's 5:45am here in Iowaland, and 36 cloudy degrees. I've been catching up on the news from California. If you come to America, stay away from the "gun free zone" areas. Those are the places nuts pick to shoot up. No one shoots up a crowded shooting range, or a gun show.
Stay safe, run fast, or buy a gun and learn to use it well.

Good morning everyone, had a rough night with my congestion. High of 70 today and I have a million things to do, when all I want to do is stay inside and rest.

Well I got a Z pak from dr and told to take over the counter mucinex.

My lymph nodes were swollen but my lungs were clear. I probably won't take the mucinex, don't do well with those things.

Anyway, now out to the bank and trader Joe's and gas and that's all I'm doing today. Getting some TJ's soup!

Good morning everyone, it's 7:30am and for me it's a similar day to yesterday, a copy and paste one, though I am not sad now, have a great time whatever you are up to, in this weird and wonderful world we all live in.
