The cathedral in Sofia complete with a wedding party in a pink stretch limo The packed restaurant on Saturday night in Sofia we managed to get the last table .. We both had a tender pork dish with a berry sauce which was lovely ... Desserts, Lisa's looked more like a meal
@Terry Page - great photos! I have had to do some doubling back to try and figure out what the white paper mache looking item was. Finally saw the head of a light bulb..very unusual lamp. And thank you for agreeing to let me use the photo
Good Morning all.. Another HOT day today... been a busy morning , I've been in the garden up on ladders scrubbing the porch roofs.. then I had a delivery of a Sparrow nest box which I'll hang in the Holly tree... https://shopping.rspb.org.uk/garden-bird-nest-boxes/rspb-sparrow-terrace-nest-box.html ..then I had a visit from an official from the water board to check on the work done last month by the contractors after we had a burst pipe underground in our front lawn ..and it's not even 11.30, Phew!! Have a good Tuesday everyone...
Quite a lot Cody, bless you for your concern ... but I'm often in even more pain if I don't keep active... I just work through the pain sometimes with the help of PK's...and for my back pain or I use a heat pad at the end of the day.. some days, I can't do anything at all. that's not very often, but you all could probably guess when that is, because I spend more of the day on this forum at those times, just staying home..
Was wondering, but am glad you work it out the way you do. I have osteoarthritis in my left shoulder that climbed in it after I had rotator cuff surgery on it in 2015. And, since my fall in my Darth Vader costume, in Oct 2016, I have to put Topricin Arthritis Cream on left foot daily. For the shoulder, I use Turmeric, a rub-on balm, ibuprofen and 50 mg Tramadol. The Tramadol is the lowest mg available and I only take one pill every few days during the week. Just bought a bottle of Devil's Root capsules to try out. I pretty much know that I'll have this "achy/nagging" pain, on a daily basis, for the rest of my life. BUT, I was told that a high elevation, like where we want to move to, is much, much better on arthritis than where we are...…...even during the winter months. We will see.
Yes I remember when you had your fall , I didn't realise it was still troubling you, sorry to hear that. I know you also had problems with the rotator cuff too.. as I did, but fortunately through exercises and meds I was able to avoid surgery. It took over a year but both shoulders are almost back to normal now. I couldn't use tramadol..Doc gave me a ton of them but they made me loopy and I had to work so I could only take Ibuprofen and Paracetamol or codeine.. I use Golden paste for the arthritis in my hands, which is High grade turmeric https://goldenpastecompany.co.uk/products/golden-paste-for-people , but fortunately I only have to use it in the winter I do have to take a low dose valium every night before sleep to prevent the muscles in my lower back from seizing ip during the night For my other ailments I have a raft of PK's , which I only ever take if I'm in gasping pain... ..
I just hope it’s true about high elevations helping arthritis. We are at like 12’ above sea level here, but there it’s like 5,000 ft above. What’s your elevation there? Tramadol can get me a little high, but not much, because it’s only one 50 mg tablet I take, then I take a 500 mg Turmeric later. The foot is ok, unless I have to stand on it for very long. Then, that night I have to elevate it and take an 800 mg Ibruprofen. Ohhhh, age and arthritis!
Yes it was a weird sculpture @Gloria Mitchell I must admit, a beheaded angel with a light bulb you are welcome to use any photos I post, pleased you like them
Good morning from a sunny Sozopol, a seaside resort on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. It was a long but enjoyable 7 hour drive through the mountains to get here yesterday, but we can now relax here for 3 nights, before our next move. I am no lover of the sea and beachlife in general, but Lisa loves swimming in the sea, so we each do our own thing during this part of our vacations. It's very hot here at around 90f but the apartment has AC and the beer is cold. I will post some photos of our trip on a Bulgaria thread. Enjoy your day... This is Sozopol where we are now, it's entirely inhabited by Russian tourists..
