We Shouldn't Be Surprised Why Millennials Don't Think Anymore

According to this article, Millenial Marxism by The Spectator, that today's Millennnials are the 'most cosseted, pampered and, frankly, spoiled generation has had everything handed to it' on a silver platter?

Or are there still, some out there who show an iota of interest in our world beyond, besides themselves and selfies. Maybe, there are still some Millennials in this generation who schooled themselves or taught by their parents who have learned to value great men and women of history ( and theor great parrnts) that made us what we are today?

Millennials are an interesting lot of socialists that keep wanting more spoon-fed or served to them. Working hard is a thing in the past that their parents know so well about to provide and get ahead in a life of prosperity and happiness.

Oh well, I'll give these generation's Milennials some benefit of rethinking I might have about them.

The American equivalent would be those who insist that Trump's treatment of illegal immigrants is worse than Hitler. Really? Were Jews trying to sneak into Germany during the 1940s?

I mostly agree. They congregate on reddit and other forums, are quick to challenge every post I make with blather that tells me they have little or no knowledge of the topic, and instead of using Google....demand that I provide them "sources" or "proof". In other words, instead of using Google to research the topic to punch holes in my reasoning, they expect me to provide them the ammunition!

On the other hand, I'm old enough to remember that the same (or similar) charge "most cosseted, pampered and, frankly, spoiled generation has had everything handed to it' on a silver platter" has been bandied about for decades. It was leveled at the black leather motorcycle kids of the 1950s, the dippy-hippies of the 1960s, and onwards to today.

Each time, it has probably been true. I think it's a matter of age rather than eras.

Perhaps, they will get through it too, as we did. The problem is that they may be voting in greater numbers today than in the past. So if we're really lucky, they won't destroy the country before they grow up.

I doubt it. I believe they won last election by something over two million votes, which the Electoral College overcame. I suspect that put a damper on their voter enthusiasm, plus its rare to unseat an incumbent president, so I think The Trumpster is safe.

Wasn't unseating Obama a given, after two terms? Or, as usual, I don't understand fully.

Unseating Obama was a given, but stopping Ms. Hillary....definitely not. Like I said, she won by at least two million votes, so the libtards were poised to 'rock the vote', which is likely why there was so much bitchin' and ragin' after the election results, and why the sore loser tantrums has continued years after.

I really don't see the bad things in young people that many describe. Maybe I don't get out enough. Or maybe folks are judging millennials only by what they read on social media?

We old folks generally come out to vote in greater numbers than any other age group. Our choices now probably won't affect us much.

Sometimes I think just the opposite, and hope we don't mess the world up for our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, after we are long gone.

I think the ones to watch is this upcoming 'Generation Z' (https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entr...-that-simple-with_us_59ea34f7e4b034105edd4e32). The more I look into them the more I like what I see!
