He listens to music and sings along with it. In fact, I have a video of him flipping between singing and lip-synching "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" with Tiny Tim. I love that video! It's on YouTube.
Aretha died a few a little bit ago, and so I'm listening to her songs for a while. She was one of the people who played the background music of my life when I was a teenager. This one, "Ain't No Way," was written by Aretha's sister and backup singer Carolyn, who was very much in love with Otis Redding, who was married. In my opinion, this was the best song she ever recorded, and yet somehow, it ended up the B side of "Since You've Been Gone." Another interesting fact that not everyone knows: You hear that haunting background voice? That's Cissy Houston, Whitney's mother, whose voice was every bit as good as Whitney's. Rest in peace, Aretha.
hahaha... give us the link @Michelle Anderson ...see @Ken Anderson , be sure you will be found out...
Today is Ken's birthday. Two days ago was our 18th anniversary. It would be horrible to have to say he filed for divorce from me in this week. Let me ask him how much he objects to the idea.
My mistake. He doesn't actually sing for the camera. But here he is, just as I found him and Tiny Tim that day.
In honor of Jeff Beck playing Friday Night at our Auditorium, one of my favorites by him. You will probably recognize the lead singer, this was Rod's first group from 1967. Jeff Beck started with the Yardbirds, ( other members include Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton ). He's 74 years young and looking forward to hearing him again. As an added attraction, Ann Wilson from 'Heart' will be with him also.
Just a thank you, @Nancy Hart for reminding me to listen to more Jimmy Webb. 'By the Time I Get to Phoenix', 'Wichita Lineman' and 'Highwayman' are truely Great songs. Got them 'cued' up and ready...
