Lately, I have been practically binge watching a series called “Jeremiah”. It stars Luke Perry (Beverly Hills of 90210) as Jeremiah and Malcolm Jamal Warner (Theo on The Cosby Show). The setting starts at 15 years after an apocalyptic virus takes out everyone past the age of puberty. Normally, I wouldn’t have spent too much time on such movies or series but this one pretty much grabbed me from the start. We have Jeremiah and his partner as adults (the virus disappeared) , traveling about trying to find Jeremiah’s father who, with his mother disappeared toward the beginning of the apocalypse. Each scenario that they go through is thought worthy and definitely does provoke some emotional responses which is, after all, what a good movie is supposed to do. Even with some nudity and cursing involved, I still gave it a 5 star rating. As a matter of fact, as the series progresses, the less nudity and cursing is incorporated into the plot. In the first episode, there is some gore involved but that’s about it for the entirety of the two seasons I have watched.
That sounds like something I would enjoy. I Googled it and there were only two seasons of it. How did it end? Did it have a satisfactory ending or did just quit?
I am fairly good at prologues but I have never had anyone compliment me on my ability to write epilogues so I simply quit writing them. Guess you’ll have to watch it. Actually, I still have 3 episodes to watch so I really do not know.
I most humbly do apologize because I actually viewed Jeremiah on Amazon Prime, and not Hulu. That said, all of the Amazon Prime movies are for sale. I'll look it up for you a little later and see if it's on DVD for you.
