Even though Grandparents Day (Sept, 9th) is an annual holiday now on the Calendar...I really don't find that this Holiday is mentioned much so it was a nice surprise to find that at our grandkids' Mother's Day Out we were invited to a Grandparents' Breakfast to honor us. Now anytime I have time with my grandkids is an honor to me but this was special because we were being celebrated too. The breakfast was held from 8am-9am on the Monday, Sept. 10th and I have to admit the MDO put out a really nice breakfast spread for all the grandparents. But of course the nicest part of all was just sharing that breakfast with our grandkids. They even had a corner with a bench and decorations set up to take pictures...but of course our youngest would not have anything to do with that bench so we just got our picture wherever and how ever we could. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow and those actually end up being the pictures you look at with joy! Our two year old (today) can't stay still so right now we just grab him and get the best picture we can. Our four year old on the other hand loves to take her picture with Granny...she thinks we are twins now that we both wear glasses. It was nice to be recognized as a Grandparent...especially since it is one of my favorite things to be.
OH you can tell that from all the way over the Pond!! Beautiful pics... the kids always looks so happy!!
Those are wonderful pictures, @Babs Hunt. Your love and joy are obvious. Your Granddaughter looks just like you.
