Windows Ten...the O.S. You Love To Hate!

I tried W10 when it came out, and returned it 2 days later.

After reconsidering for a few months, I tried it again, and this time I REALLY returned it!

It was the most user unfriendly system I ever tried..you almost had to learn how to read and write all over again!

    Windows Seven forever!

If you’re nostalgic I still have the installation CDs for Win XP, 95, 98, and at one time I had all the discs from win 3 and up.

@Hal Pollner, I, too, like Windows 7 best, but that is in part due to the fact that I don't use many of the things that Windows 10 offers. W7 is more like the old Windows operating systems, so feels more familiar as well.

Yeah, I suppose I could do that but I think if I bring any more stuff in the house that needs “fixing” my wife is going to start looking at me a little strange.

That said, I do like the concept of having Winfiles to goof around with and the thought of sitting and watching the defrag mode whilst playing a sonata by Clemente gets me exited thinking about it.

Windows 10 came installed on my computer. I hated it to start with and tried to install Windows 7. It turned out that I would have had to buy Windows 7. Being the thrifty soul that I am, that didn't seem logical to me. I finally got use to Windows 10 and now I can't even remember what I missed about Windows 7.

I have not seriously sat down at a piano in quite a few years, but I was a classical pianist by the age of 10.
There were too many demands and I got bored so I went on to play the woodwinds and some brass.
    Thank you for asking...…………:)

I'm still using Windows 7 also. I downloaded the free version of Windows 10 for my laptop but I didn't like it. I made a backup of it just in case I needed it later on and then installed Windows 7 back on it. I just hope we can keep using Windows 7 longer than they are predicting.

@Denise Richardson , Windows 10 does take some getting use to but if you hang with it, it's pretty nice. One thing I didn't like was that that it didn't come with a word processer but somebody recommended that I get Libra Office. I did and I like it. It's free.

I don't mind getting used to it. My problem is, I go to so many forums where people post about having computer problems and ask for help. I've seen so many people having so many problems with Windows 10 and that makes me want to hang on to Windows 7 as long as possible.

I did, too, but not enough to pay for it. :D I haven't had any problems with Windows 10 and I'm computer dumb. I know there were tons of problems with Windows 8.

The things that will be lost are the technical support and the ability to install newer software because of the incompatibility. I have a computer with an older version of Windows that I gave to my grandson when he began to show interest in it. I was able to upgrade it until Windows 7.
