I have three and they produced five great grand kids. This forum's members are still pretty young and I doubt there are very many adult grand children. Even though I am one of the younger residents here where I live.It seems like the OLDIES 85 to 100 have just grand kids. I did not marry young either. I was 22.
@Lon Tanner Unfortunately (or IMO, fortunately), no kids, thus no grandkids. No one to will my meager assets to, nor offspring awaiting my demise in order to "collect", as I've seen so many do. Frank
My oldest granddaughter is 20 but has no plans on getting married and having children anytime soon. She is busy getting a College degree at this time and working part time to help pay expenses. She still lives at home and doesn't seem in a hurry to be out on her own anytime soon either...which is fine with her parents. We're old fashioned in my family and still believe that girls should live at home until they decide to marry or until they have a Career which pays enough to really live on their own.
NO grandchildren at all.... my only child is in her 40's. never wanted children... so I have grandfurdogs instead!!
My wife and I together have 13 grand children, 9 are adults producing 12 great grand children so far.
OH my....I would love to have all those kids and grandkids... but not the expense at birthdays and Christmas... I do envy you all who have a big close family...
My son is old enough to join this forum. Both of his sons are adults, one with children of his own. But then, I adopted my son when he was seven, and he's only thirteen years younger than I am.
Remember Ina, ..she had her first child at 13 years old I believe, so they were all children together really!!
My grandson and granddaughter are 24 and 22 respectively. I was a grandfather at 37 and a GGrandfather at 58..
How I felt didn't matter. The kids were here and I love them. Bad choices, excess testosterone, unbridled teenage sex drive and a glib tongue, all conspired over the generations , to make us a multigenerational family. My granddaughter in law just announced she is pregnant with my fourth great grand child. My father just turned ninety
