Slumber party at the hospital with Wyatt and his Mom! Wyatt weighs 7 pounds and 11 ounces and is 20.5 inches long.
Gorgeous picture Babs... can't beat that for a picture, let's hope you and Wyatt are still cuddling when he's 21....
Good grief, so it is, I'd forgotten it was Friday, I was thinking it was Thursday. Now I've retired, so many days just run into each other. I've got a few days break before I have a whole week of hospital appointments and then my daughter is arriving from overseas, for a very short 2 days visit, I'm really looking forward to that!!
Good morning! Still hot here, 86 today and it will be like this as far as I can see ahead on the weather app. It is chilly in the morning though so the house doesn't completely heat up like in summer, so no need for A/C or heat..my favorite times. Feeling sad today though...just found out someone I know...really more a friend of a friend in Canada is being put on hospice today, she only turned 64 two days ago. Have a good day everyone!!
Well, it's dark here coming up to 7pm now..and the clocks go back tonight. Today we had the coldest day since last winter, it was ffffreeezzzing...only 3 deg , and I felt it more because yesterday I was able to go out without sleeves on it was so warm, so I think we might be getting winter coming in with a vengeance... Hubs got what he hopes is the last cut of the lawn for this year, done this morning, then we went out for the weekly shopping, he offered to come to help because it meant we'd be quick cuz we had to meet up with friends for lunch!! Town was packed, everyone was huddled up in winter coats..I had my coat and even my hat on for the first time in months
Mornin' all.. Clocks went back last night and instead of getting an extra hour in bed I was up an hour earlier than usual... if it wasn't for the rain and freezzzing cold I'd go and do something outside, but instead I'm gonna park myself and stay in the cosy warm all day...
We have a strange clock in our bedroom that seems to think that it lives in the UK, @Holly Saunders . Every time we change from standard time to Daylight Savings, or back again, this clock does it automatically; but it does this on the wrong weekend ! Bobby was just commenting last evening that the bedroom clock was an hour different than our other clocks/watches, and then we remembered that this is the one which changes at the wrong time (consistently) each time we adjust the spring and fall clock changes. It is a beautiful , sunny day here in Alabama, but still cold, and I am bundled up in my warm socks and sweater still. We do have the door and windows open a little to air out the house, which we try to do on days that it is not too hot or too cold to let fresh air through the house. I have been spending more time in the hot tub when we go to the fitness center, and it really feels good on these cold mornings. One thing that surprises me , is that our trees have not started losing their leaves yet, and they are mostly all still a pretty green, and not changing color, or falling on the ground. Usually, by this late in the fall, most of the tree leaves are turning color, and the ground is covered with the ones that have already fallen off. Is this just happening here, or has anyone else noticed that the trees are slow to lose their leaves this year ?
