OH MY, I can't imagine how that feels @Yvonne Smith to have a child who is a grandparent...especially when you're still relatively young as you are... but amazing at the same time that you hopefully get to spend many years with her. Congrats on becoming a Great grandmother!!!
Funny isn't it ...that we in the Northern hemisphere are actually warmer than most of you in the USA...
45F here in the Sonoran Desert this morning. Had my first 2 cups of coffee and a scone, so I'm good. Nothing planned for the day, just waiting for my Significant Other to wake up.
14 C. doesn't sound that hot, @Holly. Can you open windows? What is it getting down to at night? Wishing you well.
14 c is just under 60 deg f...so with the sun it feels pleasantly warm, but it gets down to about 6 degC (42f) during the night. My house is very well insulated , and it's very warm indoors without heating even now at almost 11.30pm.... I can open windows when I go to bed...
I just thought 14 C. would be good sleeping temp, not a hot one. I like the house around 62 F. for sleeping. Our house is well insulated as well, since our winter temps have been down to -50 F. and usually our average cold temp for the winter season is around -40 F./C. Sometimes it is down there for weeks at a time.
I find it wayy too hot for me tbh... @Don Alaska . Up until last week I only had a thin cover on my bed, but it got really cold for a couple of days so I thought it was time to put the duvet back on.. but the temps are up again today to over 60 deg, so it's too hot with the duvet!!
Mornin' all.... We've got quite a fog this morning..it's slow to disperse, and it's nearly noon... I'm going out soon, so hopefully it'll be gone before long. Anyone started their Christmas shopping yet? Hope you all have a super duper day....
Good evening to you all, sorry for my awol, there has been so much going on in my life, both with my inner world and life out there, my BP has been all over the place and there are some house moves ahead. My youngest daughter Cathy who lives with me, ran away to Gretna Green and got married to her partner Mike last week (well not exactly ran away as it was planned, but they didn't tell anyone, including my other daughter Caroline who was a tad upset because she felt excluded. A combined double birthday/wedding party has been arranged for December the 8th in the middle of my visit to Lisa in Russia, but luckily I have managed to get a cheap return flight to the UK so I can go to that. There is a lot more going on, but too complicated to go into Apart from that life has been pretty good I wish everyone a good weekend ahead, I am off to Russia on Sunday I will post a few photos of the wedding.
Nice to see you back @Terry Page , blimey it really has been a busy couple of weeks for you and having to deal with the upset of one family while being happy and understanding of the actions of the other. Sorry your BP is up... not surprising really is it?..whose moving , can you say or not? I can't see your pictures, the fault is obviously my end, but I have a new Mac being installed over the weekend, so hopefully things will improve...
