Another of my all time favourites. I loved Roger Whittakers' music when it wasn't fashionable to like him....
He also has the most uncanny way of whistling. He’s actually from Africa and learned his whistling technique from some tribesmen I believe. Oh yeah, we in the U.S. can’t see your video it seems. The uploader will not allow it to be seen in this country. But, I’ve seen and heard everything he’s ever produced so I’m not worried about it. Really strange though.......
Yes, I know. It was Holly’s link that would not connect. Some uploads from us will not connect in the U.K. and other countries as well the other way around. The original post of Whittaker that I provided was a YouTube link that was allowed for overseas uploading.
Yes @Bobby Cole , we've known Roger all our lives, he is South African as you say but he's pretty much lived all his life here in the UK....
That's What You Get for Loving Me I always liked this one. Didn't realize Gordon Lightfoot wrote it. Covered by many performers, probably most notably, Peter, Paul, and Mary. "The most chauvinistic song I ever wrote, but, nevertheless, Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul & Mary) saw something in it, a tongue-in-cheek sort of approach to the situation. Fortunately for me, it became a big hit. I was happy to have been a part of their career. It was their recording, along with Ian & Sylvia's help, that opened some doors in New York City that got me where I wanted to go." .. - Gordon Lightfoot
