It’s a cute satire and certainly no worse than a reindeer killing off grandma by stepping on her head. If I may give a small negative response about one thing though Neville. The Muslims I know and are friends with are extremely comfortable with their own faith and have no animosity towards any others. Such, I believe is the case with most Islamists. It is true without expounding too heavily on the subject, that there are those who would rather see a Christian or Jew dead than to let them live in peace. They, although they are the ones with the most power, exposure and lead millions to share their animosity, are in the minority.
I went to YouTube to watch it and also to read the comments. Supposedly it was banned on Facebook and the poster banned for 30 days but who knows what the truth is in the comment section. Also a very mixed reaction to the video.
I think that it is disgusting, and totally agree with @Holly Saunders . I don’t see anything amusing about a song that refers to killing Christians, ANYTIME, and certainly it is not any kind of a Christmas song, or even a parody of one. Also (after I calmed down enough to continue on and read Bobby’s post), it is true that this song also actually slanders most Muslims. We have close friend (the one whose wife just died tragically), and they would never have said or thought anything like this. They are always very considerate of our religious beliefs, just as we have been with theirs.
My take on it is...I cringed at the mention of bombings and beheadings (those are never funny) but it did make laugh at times...think it's the catchy tune that helps...Jingle Bells!!
Point well taken, @Chrissy Cross , and I agree. I do not agree with belittling any person’s religious beliefs, and as long as it is not violent, each person should have their own personal beliefs. Killing and hating is not right for anyone.
