    Good Morning folks,

It's ^.42am Pitch dark, but mild for the time of year...about 14 degrees c ( 55f ) but a cloudy overcast day predicted...

Just getting ready for work now.. might need to ring the doctor surgery and see if I can get something to clear up this cough I've had for 3 weeks...

    Have a good day everybody

Good morning everyone I am slowly waking up today and will do some plastering work in the bathroom here, which I put off from yesterday
    It's cold at -2c ( 24f ) and snow showers forecast. [IMG]

Have a great day wherever you are.

Good luck finding something to clear up the cough Holly, I know how tiring persistent coughs can be.

@Holly Saunders Zicam (active ingredient is zinc), if taken when symptoms first appear will reduce the time a cold will last to 3 days. If you miss doing it the first day the cold symptoms appear then there's really nothing you can do but ride it out…lots of sleep, lots of water, chicken soup (magical), stay warm unless you have a fever (then it could be strep throat). My Mother is 90 and I never remember her ever being sick. She says it's because she eats blueberries every morning (antioxidants for immune system)

Good morning everyone! We are cold, even had a freeze wearing last night. That is very rare here. Hope crops weren't damaged.

Have a busy day today and tomorrow, my last 2 days home.....hopefully I can pull myself away from the forum. :)

Happy Wednesday or as it's also know.... Happy Hump Day.

    Mild, dry and windless... shocker.

I had to hop on a train this morning and even at half past nine, trains were busy. This is a legacy of the closure of the Forth road bridge and makes you wonder what things will be like next week. Chaotic might be a starting adjective.

As for coughs, I find a dollop of honey in my tea very soothing.

Mornin all. Slept a lot last night. Can't seem to get stirring today. It's 46 and sunny out here. Gotta wait for groceries to come. Don't want to go out anyway. I keep talkin about going out, then change my mind. I didn't watch the debate last night. The morning news on TV usually hits the high spots, and that's enough for me.
So, Guess I'll just skip around the 'net today. Gotta be careful even doing that. One local forum I was on long ago used to have some pretty heated political discussions. One liberal got so enraged over some of the facts I was posting, he offered $50 to whoever emailed him my real name. So, stay safe out there. Don't leave home without Sam, (Colt).

Good morning to you all, the electricity is going off here for the day from 9:00 am while they continue the rewiring of the apartment block, so will be without the internet,

We have decided to go out and have our haircuts which were put off from last week, will have lunch out and do a bit of shopping as well maybe. It's about 0c ( 32f ) here and dry at the moment.
    Have a good day everybody!

Bless you for trying to help Lara...I don't ever get colds or flu usually...but twice in my life I've had pneumonia... this time, I got the flu which hit me hard...and then about a week into it I got this cough..and now I'm on my third week of it, so a little late to be taking preventative stuff Unfortunately.. I'm still taking the raft of cough meds..and I'll ring my GP this morning because I'm working from home today, but honestly I don't want him to give me any AB's, because I'm already on such a ton of meds for the RA, and the herniated discs..etc...so I'm at a bit of a loss to know what to do tbh!!

    ...Good Morning all....

    Thursday-Butterfly-Graphic.gif

It's warm but quite foggy outside..working from home today after a very long day at the workhouse yesterday. The workhouse perceived Gods from the Ivory towers in a different part of the country are coming down to my workplace today, so I'm glad I'm not gonna be there.. it's just gets everyone all stressed out waiting for them to come, so I hate that kind of atmosphere.

Had a horrible job to do yesterday, I had no option but to let one of the guys go from my workplace..he'd been warned on several occasions about certain behaviours, and ultimately I had no choice. It's a horrendous thing to have to do to anyone , especially before Christmas, but this guy had been given more chances than most to get his act together, and sadly, he mistook kindness for weakness and tried to turn it to his own advantage, so now he's without a job and little chance of getting another one anytime soon.

I hope everyone had a good day yesterday...and those who are feeling poorly are feeling so much better today..

Aww, you are having a rough time of it…but your day of rest today,
even though you're working from home, will be a good day for healing.
You're lucky to be able to work from home.
