If @Ken Anderson used a bread machine, this is how his loaves would turn out :

One of the things that we enjoy as a treat, and is also healthy, is a dessert cake or brownies made with almond flour, Chia seeds, flax seeds, psyllium husks, and then a regular cake mix for flavoring.
I get the cheapest cake mix from the store, and then add about a quarter cup each of the chia and flax, a heaping tablespoon of the psyllium husk, and about a half cup or so of almond flour.
Because this is going to make a much larger cake, I also add an extra teaspoon of baking powder and an extra egg . For oil, I use coconut oil instead of shortening or regular oil, and also add a little extra because of the larger size of cake.
If I am making it with a yellow cake mix, I usually add some spices, and some raisins, chopped apples and carrots, so it ends up kind of like an applesauce cake.
If you are making chocolate cake (and don’t let yourself know that you did this), you can also blend up a nice handful of spinach or kale greens with the liquid for the cake, and this will add even more healthy ingredients, and you will never taste the difference once it is baked.

Bread machines can be wonderful if you use them. They were quite the trendy gift a few years back, and mine filled the house with wonderful fragrances of baking bread three or four times before management relegated the bread maker to the shelf of abandoned small appliances. It sits there now, sad and forgotten, keeping the fondue pot, pizza maker, and toaster oven company...*sighs*

    Ours was abandoned also.

Thought about it when I came across the instruction book in the
    recipe book shelf.

Plan to get to it after the new year settles in.

Having 2 adult sons in town, I'll get to experiment on them...

I used one for many years,@Tex Dennis, but I usually did it from scratch. I don't recall ever using a mix. My most common use was for cinnamon-raisin bread that I would load up at night when I went to bed, and when I arose, I had fresh breakfast bread before I went to work. Wife doens't eat bread any more, and I don't need that many carbs, so it went to the thrift store.

Your machine and the mix will come with directions. It's easy, so enjoy your bread. (Your house will smell heavenly.)
