Piano tuner here this morning, so I am sitting around waiting for the job to get done, as my wife is running errands. Temps right around freezing and the big snow has not materialized yet.
9..20pm here, less than 3 hours before the Firework extravaganza in Central London . I'm sitting here setting up my new upgraded Iphone... ..I've gone with a new provider, so I have to wait a while for them to text me my new number... Please you had a good Christmas @Chrissy Cross I know what you mean about your poor little dog @Thomas Stearn .. can you give him something to calm him a little. Our dogs don't seem to suffer much.
I like to have a bit of fun you know... so at 5 to midnight I ordered a Chinese take away..and when it arrived I told them I ordered it a year ago...
Good Morning on the 1st day of the 2019. I actually was up at midnight for the first time in quite a few years and watched with my Honey a very nice fireworks display all around us from our front porch. It felt good for us to welcome the New Year in together for a change. And my Honey was really happy I joined him. I hope for all of us this will be a very special year with lots of joy, good health, and the making of many cherished memories with those we love. Happy, Blessed New Year everyone!
Although we are having another rainy day today yesterday brought quite a bit of sunshine and warmth. Since my Honey and I were babysitting our 3 youngest grandkids we really appreciated the nice weather that allowed us to play outside with the little ones. And the little ones really loved being able to enjoy some outside time on their swings and other outdoor play things with Granny and Papaw too. It was a great first day of the New Year for us. Today after I drop my Honey off at work I'm going to work on a couple of indoor projects. Yesterday morning I got the New Year's Calendars filled in with Birthdays and Anniversaries, etc. So today I may start shredding the paperwork from 2018 that we don't need anymore. I don't make a resolution about clearing the clutter at the beginning of each New Year but it is something that my mind just naturally tends to remind me of at the beginning of each New Year. Rainy days are good days to get rid of clutter. I hope no matter what the weather is like where you are that your day is good too.
G'morning all... @Babs Hunt , you sound like you're having a lovely time, your post is so positive on this grey and grim cold day here, so it brightened my morning.. ..I may take a leaf out of your book and do a bit of de-cluttering of our ''junk'' room...it really needs it. What a nice surprise we have gotten this morning. After the Weather person told us we could expect rain every day....today instead the sun is brightly shining and it's just beautiful over here although a tad nippy. I'm so thankful for the sunshine...to much rain dampens my spirits at times. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...hope it is in yours too.
