I will have to start disassembling if it gets warm enough. Plastic interior doesn't do well in the cold (-15 F. this morning) as it is brittle and cracks if you mess with it too much. My son's house is several miles from here, but I haven't talked with him yet.
Morning all... Sunny, but no heat in it, everywhere covered in ice..winter wonderland..but bitterly cold!! Even the phone boxes are feeling the cold... Gotta take a car load to the recycle centre that we cleared out of one of the sheds... I'd rather stay home, but it's gotta be done!! Have a good day folks whatever you're doing...
-19 F. this morning and I haven't gotten my truck fixed. My wife is getting a massage at the moment, and will pick me up for church on her way. Really crisp this morning and the Lunar eclipse is tonight for those who can see it.
@Yvonne Smith ..and thank you....still out of town until Friday or Saturday. I wanna go home now. At this moment am sitting in the truck while hubby picks out walnut lumber at a sawmill. We are 2.3 hours away from where we are staying. Sunny but has been so cold with the dang wind
So funny...phone boxes....over here they were called phone booths. They disappeared twenty plus years ago.
Above 0 F. today, so things are looking up. It is supposed to snow for the remainder of the week, but I don't believe it. Busy today, as I took wife to work, then took her car to be serviced (routine stuff), and am now at home waiting for time to go to my massage appointment (you REALLY should try it, @Holly Saunders ), then I will pick my lady up from work and settle in for the night.
Good morning all.... It's a sunny morning, albeit quite chilly... My husband was involved in a Car crash on his way to work this morning, he's ok , and it was the other drivers' fault..but a lot of damage to his car, see the Pit & peak of your day thread... http://www.seniorsonly.club/threads/the-pit-and-the-peak-of-your-day.8077/page-67 Yesterday.. I spent most of the day having hospital tests.and going from one doctor to another, very tiring, but thank goodness for the NHS, it doesn't cost me anything. It was my hubs day off so he drove me there and afterwards we went for a drink and some lunch at a town centre bar... I also bought myself a new chunky woollen jumper, and a new parka style jacket when we were in town ... Not many people around, I think people are still spent out after Christmas... here's a few pics of the area in the bar where we sat..it's a really huge place with different other areas including upstairs ... Have a good day folks.. be safe out there
Just gotta say the sun didn't last too long and now we have a thick layer of snow.. dark and wet snow, dangerous combo....
I read your other post about your husband getting rear-ended, and I am thankful that at least he was okay, although he may be feeling it more tomorrow than he has been today. Hopefully, they can get his car repaired without too much delay, and he can enjoy whatever car they loan him in the mean time. I do not like snow any more at all, even though it is pretty when it is falling, but not good to drive in, and worse with a vehicle that you are not used to driving. Be safe, @Holly Saunders ......prayers for you and your husband !
Bless you Yvonne, he's asleep now, he has to be up at 5am for work, his neck is starting to hurt now, but hopefully it won't get any worse.. ...and you're right, he's gotta get up in the dark and snow and drive a car he's not used to... I wouldn't like that myself, but he's calm about it.. he's just fed up to the back teeth about the hassle it's caused .
Good morning Snow here this morning...just a sprinkle now but it looks pretty... Hope all of you with thick snow are able to stay home in the warm today....
