Thank you Shirley for your concern. My sleep problem is due to My Rheumatoid Arthritis & Peripheral Neuropathy.

@Lon Tanner , I know what rheumatoid arthritis is. I know people who have it. I am not familiar with Peripheral Neuropathy. I looked it up but it was quite involved. So I still don't have an understanding of it. I can only hope that you can get some relief and get a decent night's sleep tonight.

@Lon Tanner is your peripheral neuropathy a consequence of diabetes or does it have another cause. I have read of several new therapies for neuropathies, one is an electrical stimulation suit developed in Germany. Sometimes Alpha-Lipoic acid supplementation will held diabetes-related neuropathies. There is also treatment with a cold laser if the neuropathy is localized as limited to the feet.

I was diagnosed in 2007 with a very rare Non Hodgkins Lymphoma called Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia. It's not curable but is treatable. Two years ago I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I will not croak from either of these diseases but because my Immune System is compromised it will be something else.

Waldenstrom's is an interesting disease, and I am very sorry you are afflicted with it. RA is much more common, but also very sad. My thoughts are with you, @Lon Tanner.

Despite my love of reading, computers, movie watching I do go through moments of boredom and this forum is helpful to alleviate boredom. As for dating? Those days are past for me.

@Babs Hunt , I didn't know that you have been sick. Is it anything you can talk about here? Whatever it is, I hope you recover soon.

Thank you everyone for your wishes for me to be well too. :) And yes @Shirley Martin...I can talk about it. I started off with a UTI and was put on an antibiotic (which I never do well on) then woke up in the middle of the night after taking the first one with a horrible sore throat and swollen glands...then two days later that deep cough of bronchitis started and for almost two weeks now I have been sick and pretty much miserable. I am beginning to get my strength back and the cough is finally letting up some...my allergy problems always prolong respiratory illnesses for me and increase their seriousness but I hope for a good report when I see my Doctor again this Thursday.

The blessing in this sickness is that I have had time to play on the computer and post with y'all. :) I have been enjoying catching up with y'all. :)

It's good that you are on the mend, @Babs Hunt . My guess is that you picked up a bug at the doctor's office that caused the sore throat and bronchitis. The best place in the world to pick up germs is at a doctor's office. Everybody in there is sick.

The only ones in there when at my appointment time was the Doctor and medical staff. We have a bronchitis like virus going on around in our City...and now we have the flu going around too.

Got up at 6 AM after a poor night's sleep, showered, Climbed into my BIG Terry Cloth Robe, had my morning K cup of Starbuck coffee & settled into my Lazy Boy Recliner to watch the morning news and at 8 AM a worker brought my Oat Meal with Raisins & Brown Sugar breakfast. I have answered several emails to friends in New Zealand and checked my banking and investment accounts on line. It's now noon and my lunch will soon be delivered shortly.
