I don't think AOC understands that financial equality by redistributing wealth ends up with everyone poor and the collapse of her dream then becomes a nightmare reality. OK not everyone but the elite that hold a power position in government would fare better.
This is exactly correct , @Don Alaska, and points out the ridiculousness of the whole “cow fart” idea. The reason that cows are being targeted right now is because we raise them for meat, and also we have herds of dairy cows, hence the push for veganism. Or maybe vice-versa. They want people to become vegans, so they target our main sources of meat and dairy products. However, many countries do not eat much beef; and other animals are used for milk, like goats or even llamas and camels. There are no where near as many horses here in the United States, since they are not raised as a commercial food livestock. However, if there were no more motorized vehicles, and people did actually go back to using horses, then we would have a lot more horses again; but if you look back to the 1800’s when that was all people used, and there were LOTS of cattle, horses, sheep, and other livestock, no one thought we were having global warming. The earth does what it does, whether we are here as humans or not, and it is going to go through its cycles just like it has done for eons.
As i said in this or another thread, in many places animals are pastured on land that is not suitable for cultivation. The folks that decide that animals are evil are generally not familiar with that idea.
I knew some ranchers in Arizona and one in particular was saying that the only thing that could be raised on his 2900 acres was cattle and even then the property could only support 1 cow per acre.
That is in part why ranching became the dominant agriculture in the U.S. Southwest. Growing grain intensively on land that should have be left to grazing gave us the Dustbowl of the 1930s. Mountainous land also falls into this category. Land in Iowa is not best used for grazing, but you cannot grow grain productively without irrigation in most of Arizona. Even pasture, the land in Arizona is not terribly productive; that is why the spreads are so large.
The honorable AOC has made some mistakes, some would say, but we need an AOC here and there around the country to push the thorn in the side. If AOC will listen to and put herself in the hands of madame Polusi she too may someday give a president the clap (as in the SOTU speech). And it do seem many of her supporters are on the rise and will be in a majority some day in the not too distant future. Those supporters need good sound examples. AOC can provide some of these. And there are several more like her that was elected to the House recently. It all makes for good politics. And who knows, she and others of this quality of character may rise up some day and come for our guns.
We can forgive her a few misnomers. After all, representing a district is not easy and three is a learning curve in learning the ropes in most anything. AOC will come out all right. Soon she'll be an authority and will be earning the big bucks, and her fans up there in nyc will adore her. And didn't you know, politics is the quickest way to wealth.
