We have a local F.B. spin-off here called "Laughlin buzz". My wife copied this image taken by a member today, of a U.S. Navy fighter jet streaking low above the Colorado River, practicing landings and take-offs at our airport. A member posted they had seen it take off earlier from Prescott Airport, which is over toward the center of the state (Arizona). Note the distorted view looking through the engine's exhaust. Our airport is so little used it is common to see various military units training there. Every year, a group of flyers from the Canadian Military spend several weeks here. We've seen the young men off-hours enjoying themselves in the casinos and restaurants. U.S. Marines come in from California. Last year, they flew a couple of these dang-dest looking planes in: Below is a pic of the last flyable WW-II B-29 Superfortress landing at Laughlin/Bullhead City Airport.
@Ken Anderson Thank you, Ken That image is the really important one. I will save it to pictures and issue an URL, and repost it. Can you allow me a long "edit" option? If not, I'll simply re-post. Frank

@Ken Anderson Thank you! We think it was taken using a zoom from the east side of the river, or possibly even from the hill above the airport, for the illusion is that the plane is very close to the Riverside tower. In reality, it would have been several hundred feet away from it, or more. Frank
