Go YouTube premium for a while. The first month is free and then you can cancel after you get your TV back. There’s a ton of movies and older TV shows and series plus just about any kind of music by just about anyone you want. I am personally hooked on TED which is a series of lectures and events at various colleges and universities which range from 15 minutes long to an hour or so. Obviously I like YouTube and do watch it farrrrr more than TV but then again, I only watch TV when The Voice comes on which starts April 29th. Woohoo!
You can borrow ours, @Gloria Mitchell , we rarely even turn it on anymore, and I am certainly glad that we cancelled everything that was a paid-for cable network. Both Bobby and I watch different kinds of movies when we watch them, so we both use our iPads to stream movies, music, or anything else. About the only time the television is turned on is when we have the tornado warnings, and we want to watch the progress of the incoming storms in live time from the local tv stations. We have an antenna that we bought from Amazon a few years ago, which Bobby (Mr. Handyman) put on the roof, and that brings in all of the local stations and then some. Hoping that they get your television fixed soon, Gloria, since you miss it so much !
@Yvonne Smith ..it is not so much tv watching as it is streaming music thru the tv. I do that because there is no room for a stero ..dvd and etc. Living room is small and electrical outlets in odd place. However. He bought another tv today and am shocked. Not expense either. But the new one way better than the one we sent off today ! The remote alone on the New one is with it to me ..
Pit this week:... getting stitches out of my arm, they were deeply embedded so it stung like buggery when the nurse tried to take 'em out... Peak :.. Getting my weekly physio on my knee, it helps for a few days .. Peak :.. Booked our holiday in Spain for early summer

We sent yesterday morning at a small zoo about and hour from where we live . It was a beautiful day but a bit nippy due to the wind. All Peaks no Pits
peak :...beautiful sunny day, spent much of it in the garden. There's a little wind but my garden is sheltered by mature trees and shrubs.. Gave myself a manicure today.. save me £30 at the Salon... Pit:.. A vicarious pit really.. my daughter had to shell out almost 6 grand for a new engine for her Vehicle.. it's cheaper than buying a new vehicle , but something she could well do without having to spend!!
