I dunno 'bout that, @Ken Anderson . I think most Americans have become to lazy to work for a living in the hot sun picking vegetables and fruit. They don't have to work; the guvment supports them.
That's because they can make more money on welfare than at an entry-level job. That would need to change.
Our last governor cut back on our welfare expenses quite a bit, raising the limit required to qualify and requiring a path to employment for those who were able. Most people don't have a problem with providing welfare to people who can't work. It's all the others who are a problem. Our new Democrat governor more than reversed the reforms he had made, however, and is about to make us a sanctuary state.
Hey Joy. First you scream about people not making $15 an hour then you praise Mexicans who undercut the American worker by nearly half the minimum wage in some cases. On another thread you said this administration is responsible for the homeless debacle (no work) and here you are saying yippee about Mexicans picking fruit that Americans can and will do. The only reason you see very few “whites” (extremely racist comment by you) picking fruit is that the Latinos work for far less than anyone else will. And yes, what is this thing you have against white people? I’ve hand picked corn, onions, grapefruit and oranges and my wife worked in the hop fields. I have cleaned toilets, scrubbed floors and dug ditches and yup, last I looked I’m Caucasian with nary a bit of Latino in me. What’s more, I have worked with MANY Caucasians who did exactly the same. In the south, a lot of the old folks used to chop cotton! White Folks! Black Folks. Americans!!! Man, ignorance just gotta be a blissful state cause there’s so many ignorant people around trying to act like they have 2 brain cells that actually work.

It's very simple, actually. Without so large of an illegal and migrant labor force, willing to work for less, growers would have to pay better in order to attract American workers. Yes, this would mean higher prices at the grocery store but, with Americans working rather than on welfare, the American economy would be able to absorb that. People can afford to pay more for groceries when they have a job. Without billions of illegals and unemployed Americans on the public dole, there would be money available for those who are truly in need. It begins with a wall.
Billions of Illegals, the numbers keep growing here. Ken, you need to be running the Big Show, you seem to have all the remedies. Meeting this group has been quite an experience as I never came in contact with such a group of W A Y right wingers. Just thinkin this.
