    Hi Eileen

    Welcome-with-roses.gif

I'm sure there's a few who could answer your question, but we have one or 2 members who live in retirement residences, who would be able to answer all your questions, especially @Lon Tanner . hopefully he'll see this thread...

The only real negative that I can see is MONEY. Living here is pretty expensive and if a person does not have sufficient resources to last through their 70's ,80's & 90's there will be a problem.

The Pros are Many-----some one to wash & clean your clothes, make your bed, clean your apartment, prepare all your meals of choice, provide all your utilities, Wi Fi, Cable TV, provide numerous activities for your participation.

Thank you, Lon, for your reply and pictures. I am mobile, starting to slow down, though.
I would like to move when it’s not too much burden. I don’t have children, but have
    help, if I need it.

The longer one waits to make a move Eileen, it becomes more of a BURDEN. Make a move before it becomes a burden.

Absolutely. Even at meals. some times I just want & sit by myself. Some times I will have Tray delivery to my apartment

There is a feeling some times of being ISOLATED, but it doesn't bother me.

I am happy to try and answer any of your questions.

Thank you, Lon. I enjoy people but I really need my quiet, as well.
I have contacted a Residence in the next town to go on the tour to learn more.
My wish is for a relaxed atmosphere.
    I appreciate your input.
