@Yvonne Smith It was nice of you to send him an email. I knew he hadn't been on since the 'big day', but wanted him to feel missed when he did find his way back. My mom is in her 80's. She was a chemistry teacher and STILL won't use anything but a landline.
Set up my computer today and called a Geek Squad agent to help me set it up to simulate Windows Seven. After over an hour, with the agent in charge of my computer, he handed it back to me and I signed off. When I re-started the device, I was back to where I started from, not knowing how to start it up in W7 mode. I will keep this W10 machine and learn to use it, probably more from this Forum than from the Geek Squad. Hal
So glad you found your way back!! You can go to Youtube. Just type in Windows 10. There are lots of tutorials. You can even watch those on your phone while trying it with your computer.
Hal only has a home phone, no cell phone, so he will have to be able to use his computer before he can watch any YouTube videos.
Hello, I'm back with my new HP W10 Computer. It was in the Geek Squad shop for 3 days because of a dropped email app and not sending files to the printer. It's more difficult to use than the old W7 machine, but I'll stick with it, and between us, I'll figure it out! Hal
Happy to see you back..... thought your HP W10 ate you up....you'll be a wiz at it in no time....i'm sure you're finding a lot of improvements.
Actually, it's gonna be more than "no time" before I'm even moderately proficient with this system. I've ordered the book "Windows 10 for Dummies and Seniors" to help me along. Hal
Fighting this Windows 10 bubble bath is about as comfortable as sliding down a razor blade banister. If only Microsoft had allowed a reprieve of a few more years before disowning Windows Seven..... I'm patiently awaiting the delivery of my "Windows Ten For Seniors" book to arrive! Harold
