I was just scrolling through this thread, and I missed this question at the time. Mashed root veggies are a mix of sweet potato, carrots and swede ..
Tonight I had stir fry noodles with chopped bacon, mushrooms , and nothing else but soy & plum sauce!!
Mid-week lunch, not really supper, 55 entrees alone on Riverside Hotel Buffet, plus fruits, veggies, breads, lunchmeats, salad fare, dozens of different desserts. My wife is truly cutting back despite the temptation, preparing for a trip to Indiana mid-October, when she expects, or hopes, to surprise her sisters with being thinner. Me? Unable to yet control my gluttony and avaricial ways, actually did avoid a second helping, and no dessert! Mine: 2 pieces of baked salmon, 1 potsticker, 1 stuffed pepper, 1 slice of liver & onions, 2 pieces roast pork loin, small helping of sweet & sour pork with veggies! Cost: Five bucks! My wife's: 1 baked chicken thigh, 1/2 piece of salmon, green beans, 1 Salisbury steak, and a lettuce salad, no dessert. Five bucks! I plan to exercise a new leaf while she is away. Frank
Last night , Prawn balls in tempura batter with sweet & sour sauce.. egg fried rice, and purple sprouting broccoli...
I'm going to make homemade pizza today; italian sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, black olives. And LOTS of cheese.
@Holly Saunders This sort of eating "spread" is fairly common here; do they not have them over there? The selection is huge, eat all you like, serve yourself except for beverages. Frank
