This MAY interest some of YOU, but seeing this sure brought back some memories from Reagan's years. I'm not sending for the book as I'm not up to reading and I don't want to debate or argue with anyone here about this post, OK???? Posting as an FYI, take what you care to and leave the rest. Thanks. https://pro.charlesstreetresearch.com/p/STLBK995/PSTLVA05/?h=true I was fairly new in California when Reagan was our governor. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Governorship_of_Ronald_Reagan Their daughter Patti lived/lives in my town. Maureen Reagan, deceased. Michael Reagan resides in San Diego area. And I believe Ron, Jr resides in PNW
It looks like you are posting a link for a sales marketing campaign, not any kind of an actual book, @Joy Martin . If you have not at least read the book that you are wanting to tell us about, please do not post stuff that is just an infomercial website promotion to sign up for some newsletter.
It's available on Amazon and in my post I said I was NOT going to read it. Take what info you care to..Thanks. https://www.amazon.com/Peak-Trump-U...=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=0578451107
You haven't read it, you don't intend to read it, and you don't want to discuss it, so it's fair to ask what this is all about?
It's about other members MAY want to read about David Stockman and his days with another republican Ron Reagan...is that so wrong. There were other republicans, right? I would like to believe that the Politics & Government forum here is about more than the "current POTUS".. right or wrong.
It is NOT a free book on Amazon, @Joy Martin. Only if you subscribe to this guys investment reports, for at least $10 a month, does he send you the book for part of the package deal. This whole thread is nothing but a spam thread for an infomercial sales pitch, and truthfully, I don’t think that anyone here is interested in learning about a sales pitch.
Ken, I do believe I added some discussion points above, but I don't want to be attacked by others as I am a pretty lone ranger here in my politics. I sent this to my longtime friend who has been a member of and supported the GOP all her life and said she may get the book and then said maybe not as she would get too upset. The GOP has changed so much in the last years from when she was a member of the party. We have been friends for over 40 yrs and NEVER anger from either of us in this issue. So much anger today and division like never before. My other good friend whose 95 yr old mother has held the same affiliation as my friend above voted outside the GOP last admin and is liking Pete Buttigieg more and more. There is more than One Political Party. But I'd like to believe we are all working toward the same goals.
Is Nancy Pelosi a relation of yours? She demanded that congress vote Obama Care through before reading the bill and you’ve never read nor intend to read a book you’re asking people to spend their money on.
We could be cousins from the same country origin, and I'm not asking anyone to "buy" anything, people are adults and make up their own minds. People sure do a job of changing other's words.... good grief....
I have never heard of David Stockman, and have zero interest in what he has to say. Indeed, if he were someone I wanted to read, I would have hunted him up already. I have considerably more interest in what the members of this forum have to say but, since you also have no interest in what David Stockman has to say, I don't see the point in any of this.
David Stockman WAS a major advisor with a MAJOR Republication President and since MOST here are, I thought it would be of interest. I'm old enough to recall Stockman as I've written above but it's ignored, as I can gather. Ken, you may be about 30 yrs younger than me, so you would not know Stockman perhaps. For those here who recall the Reagan presidency, they would remember Stockman. I get there is a pretty good range of ages here to later 80's. If people have no interest, don't read. Isn't that what it's about on forums?
You need a calendar. You don't have to be in your 80s to remember Reagan. I was living in California when he was governor, although I didn't vote for him. I didn't vote for him when he ran for president either because he certainly wasn't a conservative governor. I had never heard of David Stockman, but Wikipedia tells me he was the director of Management and Budget for four years, but Reagan didn't keep him on for his second term, so I can see why I wouldn't have heard of the guy. His career doesn't get interesting until 2007 when he was indicted on a scheme to defraud investors. He's not that important of a guy, and certainly not someone I'd consider credible. I couldn't tell you who the director of Management and Budget is now without looking it up, and I'm not interested enough to do that. No, it's not. As I have said several times, the forum is about discussing things from our own minds, not referring people to things that we haven't even read or have any interest in ourselves.
