It is a Senior Living facility with various sized apartments. I have 3 room which are very spacious. It is upscale and quite lovely. I am an independent resident, but many are assisted, some with borderline dementia. I really only know a few as I do my own thing. I do not participate in their activities as such as they are really not my style. I downsized to this as my son wanted me in something where medical assistance was at hand since I do have cardiomyopathy for one thing. While it does not incapacitate me and is controlled with medication, I have some strict limitations on my activities. Not that I pay attention to that all the time, but, life goes on. I now have been found to have nodes on both lungs and I've refused biopsies for same. At my age, I'll let nature take its course, whatever it may be. We don't know how long they've been there and I have no symptoms. They were discovered by accident when I was hospitalized for gall bladder removal and had a cat scan over a year ago.

@Lon Tanner Well maybe Helen is like me and has 7 if her favorite top. Maybe the top has special meaning in her defeat of breast cancer. She sounds like a lady you need to get to know, Lon. Please find out her story on the colorful top. Tell her an eccentric lady on your favorite forum wants to know.

I think this is where I am headed but want more of a duplex type living. I found one place I like, but it is a church owned place and I would not feel at ease there. @Lois Winters Hopefully those nodes are nothing of concern and you will make 100 healthy and sharp.

I worked in a nursing home ..way too many years ago. One of the biggest problems was making them keep their clothes on!
Omg..it was not pretty and very tiring.
    The other thing...seriously....was sex.
You would think this would not be an issue...Wrong.Many tales to tell on that job.

Thanks Faye. Since I don't have any other symptoms, I tend to forget about them which is probably best.

You'll find wheelchairs and O/2 tanks in assisted living as well. But, they seem to keep their clothes on. There have been a few problems with sex though.
