That one on my head when I was 20 yrs. old. I worked like a dog to earn it and it is indeed my very favorite.

 

@Lois Winters Now I see why you are so beautiful at your age. You have always been! Great photo and yes that is one hat to be real proud of! Also back when nurses wore such. Those times are long gone. Thanks for sharing your photo.

I certainly wouldn't wear it. But for me, I like the shape of it. It looks like something I would draw in a fashion sketch. I like the whimsical and unexpected. One of the Christmas cards I designed this year has a girl actually wearing a swerving layered Christmas tree.

Thank you, Bess. It was taken right before I graduated in 1953; a very long time ago.

 

I have a warm spot in my being for the nurses' hats and generally speaking for the person wearing it.
I know how hard they work to to get that privledge.

 

So many inappropriate jokes come to mind...........
