Cloudy foggy and dull this morning .. with a high of 47 deg expected today. No plans for today as of yet, but hubs may come up with something later for us to do.. .
Actually I'm going to be going out shortly to get my iced coffee and something for tomorrow's breakfast.
BRRR THAT , @Al Amoling ! I enjoy iced coffee in the hot summer weather, but in this cold, it is nice hot coffee first thing in the morning, and then hot tea in the afternoon. I make my iced coffee in the Ninja blender, with some milk, ice, Splenda and instant coffee and water; so it is easy to make and doesn’t cost much, like buying it from a coffee shop would do. It is supposed to be another warm (for winter) day here again today, so we can have the door open during the heat of the day and air out the house, and get in some nice fresh air. I am going to the cardiologist this morning and will get the news from him about what they found from the heart monitor I had to wear last week.
Na since I retired last December, I haven't had a single hot coffee. It's iced coffee in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, or maybe iced tea in the afternoon.
Early yesterday AM, we got up and headed to Walmart to get a couple of Christmas Village items that were 1/2 off cost. Took photos and video of all of our Christmas décor, inside and out. Watched a movie that my wife wanted, and had seen some 30 years ago, called Grace Quigley (Kathrine Hepburn). One weird movie, but funny. I made us a "day-after" Christmas dinner of ham and mashed potatoes. Wife is really depressed (not "really", but) that Christmas is over. She absolutely loves Christmas and all of the décor.
Yeah, the sun is supposed to be with us as well today, but.......I just remembered that we have one extra day of winter this season. Leap year 2020. ARRGGGGGGHHHHH!
Started snowing here very early this AM and still is at 7:41AM. Looks like going to get somewhat more than was predicted. Hey, we live only a few miles from the foothills into the Rockies...……..to be expected here. Don't like "Old Man Winter", definitely don't move here!
better than the oppressive heat and insects and creatures of Jacksonville ..then ? I like the snow, as long as I don't have to drive to work in it. Unlike the USA no-one sends snow plows out to clear the snow from the roads here, and we don't have snow chains on our tyres.. but if I don't have to go driving in it, I enjoy the beauty of it.. looks like we might not get snow until January
So......you want to move the Cheyenne is it? Yearly averages are 58 inches of snow and 38 inches of rain. The yearly snow averages are way above the national average but there is some good news. It “normally” doesn’t snow in July or August. Happy boating!
Well, Holly, the "oppressive heat and insects" is mostly during the spring/summer months. Actually, winter in Jacksonville can get rather cold. Obviously not Colorado, or surrounding states cold, but cold. When we lived in Jacksonville, we seen a low in the morning of 24 degrees and a high of only 45. That can happen right here! When my wife finally gets a job, she will have to drive in snow, like what's coming down right now or worse.
