@Peyton Farquar , Hi, neighbor! and welcome to SoC. Happy New Year, too. It has been way to warm for December and January here lately. How's it been down south?
Hi neighbor! Thanks It's been pretty much the same down this way. One week feels like Winter for a few days then back in the 60 and 70s. Suppose to be 75 here tomorrow. I love to visit the mountains of North Carolina in the Summer and get a reprieve of the dog days.
Our mountains are beautiful, aren't they? My favorite time to go is in the fall. Nowhere on Earth is more beautiful than our mountains in full fall colors. Right now, they need snow for the ski resorts. I wish it would snow.
It's been chilly here a couple of days, but warming back up tomorrow. Maybe your warmer weather is moving down here and Ken's cold weather is moving down your way. The SoC is starting to resemble a senior weather vane.
@Peyton Farquar. This Aussie wishes you a belated welcome to the friendliest baby boomer site on the globe. Happy 2020 too y'all. Yet another one of you from America's deep south. Watch out for that pesky neibor of yours.
Why, Mr. Farquar, suh, surely a fine southern gentleman such as yourself knows it's rude to be eyeing a lady. I know two men named Peyton,...... Peyton, Senior and Peyton, Junior. However, I don't know any Farquars. Y'all must be from south of the Charleston area.
Well if "eyeing" a beautiful Southen belle such as yourself is frowned upon then there would be no men left who weren't designated as "rude". As for the origins of my name ma'am ..since the rules of the username selection on here were "make believe" optional, I chose a very memorable name from a character in a story I read many moons ago.
Sir Farquar, be ye flirting with me? I am quite overcome with bashfulness. Simple country girls are not accustomed to flirtatious gentlemen.
