Cody - are you sure you want to continue with this thread ? Tattoo threads can cause you problems - you could delete it - up to you
Cody, how many times do you intend to harp on this subject? You've gone over it and over it so many times. I'm sure with your imagination, you can come up with a different topic. Maybe you can tell us about the difference between the nightlife or restaurant differences between your area in FL and Loveland?
Sorry Patsy, I was composing while you were posting. Well, we don't have to read it or respond anyway.
At this point, I really don't care what it causes. There are those that aren't bothered by tattoos on the body, except for all over the face. The facial tattoos and piercings are the ones that can get really ugly and some wonder "why???". Post Malone, the Rapper, has facial tattoos and told a Reporter that he got them just to "pi** of my mother". Guess he's got a real bad thing against his mother. My curiosity is, where/how do they make a living? Only a few places I can think of that would hire them.
Why not???? If you have a reply, bad or good...…..do it! If you really like the look, that's up to you. Actually, I'd think there would be more "I understand what you're asking, but I just don't know".
Remember, Patsy, this thread isn't directed purely at body tattoos, but at the facial ones and the piercings on the face. There is a huge difference when you see someone with a face full of tattoos and piercings.
You see a lot of prison inmates with facial, neck and allover tattoos. Just the kind of people you want to emulate.
I've said before I'm not keen on Tattoos... I would never have one myself. However my husband has one.. and my daughter has several, but if either went anywhere near their neck, face or hands I'd be horrified. I was very upset when my daughter had tattoos on her feet, she has such beautiful feet and hands and to me she can no longer wear open toed evening shoes without it looking ugly although she disagrees . She knows my feelings but she's a grown and intelligent woman in her 40's , her decision, not mine.. However, I do agree with Radish Rose.. we've been over this subject with you loads Cody, and you already told us about your new neighbour with the tattoos etc... so we'd really love to hear more about the places you've visited since you've moved.. or something similar.. Have you taken any photos of your area, or where you've visited in Colorado ,I'd love to see some..
Thanks, Ed. Facial piercings aren't allowed in prisons, but facial tattoos are even done in prisons. I've watch a tv series on, I believe The Discovery Channel, called Gang Land, which covers different gangs across the U.S.. There is also a program showing the inside of Holding Areas (jail) as well as County-State-Federal prisons that show the same inmates. There are those, with facial tattoos, that will say "I'm not the kind of person that those tv shows show. All of my tattoos are normal ones." What I wonder is, doesn't a Tear Drop tattoo, under the eye, portray a killing of a person?
Well, Holly, after going to Walmart yesterday, and seeing a young couple with multiple piercings on their face, it hit me...…..where do these people work that have facial tattoos and piercings? If they have young kids, how do their kids feel about how their parents look? What kind of friends do these people have and kind of music they listen to. I did find out that many young folks, that have only body tattoos, not facial ones or piercings, listen to the music of Post Malone and think he's cool looking. All I can say is "hugh??". I take photos of wildlife in the mountains, rodeo action, ranch working horse events and livestock. We will be heading to the National Stock Show & Rodeo in Denver a week from this Saturday. I will be taking both video and pictures there. As for scenery, I took a number of pictures when we visited the Upper and Lower areas of Yellowstone National Park back in 2007. I took photos/video of the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando a few years ago. And, I just finished processing (at home) photos I took of our indoor Christmas décor and Christmas lights at local Budweiser Plant. So, the pictures I've taken, since moving here, is of Centennial Livestock Auction, a local rodeo and Working Horse Show and that's it. As far as places around here...…..there is none! At least none that I'd want photos of. Sorry. As for right now, we are looking at moving out of here and (possibly) up to Ft Collins later this year. Loveland is getting very, very wild with the way folks look, but what can be said when there are 5 tattoo parlors here and only 78,000 people.
Tattoos are so popular now, less business' and companies have restrictions regarding them. However, if they do, tattoo cover / makeup is cheap to buy, easy to use and covers well. My daughter has the star of David on her arm. To keep from offending any customers, since she relies on tips, she uses a great tattoo makeup. Someone would have to look real hard to even see it. It's okay that you don't like tattoos. At least you are honest with your convictions and aren't a phony about it.
Ok, but I just wonder how businesses and companies feel about facial tattoos and piercings. And, I wonder the same about full neck tattoos? Actually, Bess, there are those young folks that will say, "if a business won't accept me showing off my body art and piercings, I won't work for them, no matter what they offer me in a salary." That is what the young lady at our complex told me. The one who is married to a tattoo artist.
I see tattoos pretty regularly, but piercings are a whole different matter. Banks, many larger retailers and other professional jobs require employees to removed them and any hole covered with a bandaid during working hours. Disney World is the only company I know of who has been called out a time or two about their strict policy against both. Times are changing though. As our generation dies out, no one will probably even think twice about any of it.
