Well, this past weekend, both days were stunningly beautiful and warm. High temps both days, in the lower 70's. Then, the bottom drops out! Today, we dropped some 40 degrees and it's snowing. Or, should I say...…...Welcome to Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Regions.
Didn't go anywhere yesterday and won't today either. Since wife isn't working yet, and we don't need anything from grocery store or Walmart, why go out into cold-freezing-snowy weather? I took about 4 inches of snow off of our vehicle yesterday afternoon, with our SnowBrum (from Walmart). There was a layer of ice under the snow due to the rain before the snow hit on early Monday morning. Since we weren't going anywhere, I didn't scrap the ice off. Sure glad I pulled our windshield wipers up or they'd be frozen to the windshield. As of right now, it is still snowing and, at times, heavily. I think we are going to get more than forecasted. Will go over to our boat tomorrow and clean the snow off it (the full-size cover).
This shows the hood of our Durango where I took the snow off we got overnight Monday into Tuesday (yesterday) afternoon. Seems like officials are now downplaying the amount of snow we get. I took off about 3 inches on Monday afternoon. So add that 3 inches (from Monday) to this (Tuesday), plus another inch last night. Temperature this morning at 6:30AM was -4 degrees and a high of 30. And, they are forecasting another number of inches on Friday.
glorious sunny day today..temps around 7 deg c ( 44f)... I've washed the windows inside and out, upstairs and down. Cleaned the front & back door down and the doorsteps, and sprayed spider repellent in the corners... Got all the windows open everywhere to let the air circulate ..although I usually have most open every day anyway . Have a good day Thursday folks...
not much at all really... I'd like to be able to get on with a whole load more but my health isn't good at the moment so until I get better (god willing) I just have to do things a little at a time..
Good morning everyone. I'm not sure which one is more tired from shovelling snow yesterday...my shovel or me.. The shovel is still leaning against the wall, i'm standing on my own. there should really be better things to do with a snow shovel. .
@Holly Saunders Sorry you're not feeling up to par. Sounds like you still have a lot of Energizer Bunny in you. You must be a whirl wind when you feel well. .
that's definitely one thing I've always been ''accused of''...during my life.. people have always been astonished at my 'energy''... very frustrating for me at the moment not to have that..
Thanks Micki, believe me I'm praying. ..going into hospital on Tuesday afternoon for some tests so hopefully get some answers that we can act on then...
