Good going, @Lois Winters ! that is definitely a healthier food choice (and less inflammatory for arthritis/joint pain) than eating all of that sugar and grease in the French toast and bacon breakfast that @Lon Tanner enjoyed. I am still having the green smoothies with spinach (for iron and minerals), and pineapple (for anti-inflammatory) for my breakfast most mornings. I add in vitamin C and niacin powder to make sure I am getting enough of those, too. The niacin opens up capillaries, and prevents (or at least helps) the neuropathy in the feet that I get sometimes when I eat too much sweet and processed foods.
Lon, I totally love Eggs Benedict. That's what I get when we go to Mimi's Café for breakfast, plus a Bloody Mary.
I had one slice of cinnamon and raisin bread with butter, and a small piece of Blue brie cheese and a cuppa hot weak tea.. (brunch because I don't eat breakfast)
This morning, at home, 2 eggs, 2 breakfast sausage/2 bacon, two toast, 1 small chopped up/fried potato and a Bloody Mary. Cup of coffee before the breakfast. Seems like I always have a rather big breakfast.
A bloody Mary ?... that must means something different in the USA than here because in the UK a Bloody Mary is Vodka and tomato juice and spices ... because I would hope you didn't have Vodka for breakfast
Well, here in the U.S., a Bloody Mary is a shot and half of Vodka, Bloody Mary Mix, a stalk of celery and a few ice cubes. There are two restaurants local that serve it just this way. So, yes, Vodka for breakfast. My wife had a couple of sips of it also.
