I doubt that 5% of voters actually study the candidates and their platforms. A good example is the recent story about the woman voting in the Iowa caucus who wanted to retract her vote when she found out Buttigieg is gay. (And imagine if this had been at a GOP caucus.)
He was giving them out to middle school. I find that extremely offensive. As far as asking permission where is the training supposed to be done in terms of moral conduct?
I find abortion more offensive. You need to realize that middle school kids are a lot different now than in our day. They are bombarded with trash from TV, internet "influencers," etc. so good luck with instructions on morals.
Studying a candidate's platform is a good idea, but it's only useful when compared to what they have said and done before, given that candidates rarely even attempt to do the things that were central in their platform. Of recent presidents, Trump is the only one I can think of who has actually tried to do what he said he would do, not that he has been able to accomplish it all, given the constant barrage of obstructionism from the Democrats and members of his own party. Most candidates, of both parties, put their platforms on a shelf once they assume power, which is what the parties themselves do.
Bloomberg is not doing well here in Alabama. He spoke at a church in Selma, Alabama, and people actually stood up and turned their backs on him.
Yep Damn straight without parents permission! I am father to two daughters. They both had sex before marriage as did their mother and father before them. You either are not a parent or are a parent with black out blinders on. I don't know why you guys are bothering with being interested in the D side of things. From where I sit trump will be reelected to another term and my flag will remain in the closet for another 4 years.
An assumption is a bad thing on all accounts but I’m going out on a limb and assume you mean your American Flag will remain in the closet. I guess when it is said, “once a Marine, always a Marine” that it doesn’t necessarily stand true. The flag doesn’t fly because of a president no matter what side of the aisle he stands on. it flys because a whole heckova lot of guys died so we could be free to pick a president (among other things). ::removed an insinuation that could and was viewed as a personal attack::
