Now we need a teacher, a preacher, a barber, and a few other folks. Craig, can you rustle us up a few volunteers?
But I don't have a picture of @Emily Brown . I need to give her a costume. The only male member I know is @Ken Anderson . He might make a good preacher.
@Shirley Martin Ken is interested in joining our story but not as preacher. He suggested we ask Bobby Cole to play the part as he is a preacher in real life. No dice with Thomas Stearn... and Emily Brown has not been posting for more than a day. So there may be two more places we need to fill.
A town needs people to survive. Without people, it becomes a sad old ghost town. So I think our town will drift back into the mists of time. Perhaps in the distant future, a tired, dusty drifter will ride into it And decide to spend the night in the hotel Continued
While he sleeps, he will see ghosts of the distant past and hear the sound of music coming from the saloon
Gee...……… I wonder who that it is playing music in the saloon.. Maybe it is one of "those" guys that are here to spy on us to see what we are up to... We need the marshal as soon as possible to step in and find out exactly who it is playing music.. What if playing music is a decoy to something else that is going on while they play at the saloon.. Who is watching the bank?? Who is watching the general store ?? Someone better get over there and keep an eye out for possible trouble...
Marshall Swanson here Deputy North. Who exactly are "those guys spying on us". My plan is for complete anonymity for myself until we lock up Tanner and that Hell gang. So I am merely only passin' thru this town on my way west. That must be what is spread among the town folk. Yes who is watchin' the bank. Has your man reported the upcomin' movements of the Hell gang. When are they plannin' on hittin' the bank? We must have Tanner and his mob locked up and the stolen money back in the bank's vault before the gang heads for Shirleyville.
OK... Now we have a HUGE problem... We all know about the rules of the saloon... "NO GUNS ALLOWED IN THE SALOON ".. ......Leave your guns on your horse that is tied outside the saloon.. Well, while most of the town was singing, dancing, and listening to the music, the Hell gang snuck into town.. They first raided the stables and stole ALL the horses there.. While that was going on, other members of the gang came to the saloon and stole ALL the horses tied up in front of the saloon.. Now all the horses in front of the saloon had each owners gun belt and rifle on the saddle.. NOW we have no horses, no guns, no rifles, and no way to get home from here..... We need our rifles to protect our livestock from predators, to hunt for food for our families and for self protection.. We need our handguns for keeping the law.. Marshall...………….………. Now what ????
You sure you did not only dream this deputy. What has your undercover man been doing. He was supposed to be keepin' an eye on the movements of the Hell gang. So now we are defenseless and with Mayor Tanner and his cohorts still runnin' free.. the bank's money still in his possession and no way we can physically remove it and return it to the bank. So what do you suggest we do from here Deputy North. You and a couple of your men have to find that money. I am leaving that task to you. Break into the Mayor's house if you have to. We can still arrest them but they are not going to tell us where the money is. So we have to get that money first. As for the gang.. I do not know what we can do about them without weapons. And we no longer have the element of surprise.
