I have an idea.. Why don't we also set up a decoy to lure them back into our arms.. We can set up a fake delivery of gold that we will be receiving.. They will at that point want the gold and we will be ready to ambush them all at once.. As far as being defenceless goes, we are definitely not.. The general store has in their warehouse a huge supply of guns and ammo.. Now we will rearm ourselves and be ready for them.. All we have to do is somehow let them know about the shipment of gold.. For this event, we will need almost the whole town to co-operate with us.. I'm sure the Marshall will attend to that.. The stagecoach is due here tomorrow at noon and we can say the gold will be on the stagecoach.. We will have a great set-up.....
We can totally confuse the gang by telling them what time the stage coach is due to be in town...…………….. BUT …….. Tonight we change the time by advancing the clocks by one hour.. They will be so confused which gives an opportunity to ambush them in the act of stealing the gold that has come and gone by then..
A decoy, I like it Deputy. But the Hell gang aint gonna fall for us telling them when the gold is due in Shirleyville. They probably will if they hear it from our undercover man. He will be our decoy. Tell him to make his way to the gangs hideout asap and relay the news of the gold shipment. The gang wont know about the reserves of weapons in the stores warehouse so they will think we are defenseless. So again we will have the element of surprise. The only problem remains Mayor Tanner and his boys. For all we know Tanner may be in cahoots with the Hell gang and is plannin' to share the bank money. So I am paying Shirley a visit now and persuadin' her to invite Tanner and his boys to the saloon tonite for a little party with her girls. He is sure to accept as I hear he is an old womaniser. So while Shirley and her girls are keepin' them busy you take two of our boys and search his house for the bank money.. Whatever happens we can not take the risk of them findin' out about the gold shipment being a ruse and relayin' that fact to the gang.
I'll try to dress @Ken Anderson up as a traveling magic elixir salesman and let him go to the GOtohell gang's camp. While he's there, he can casually mention that he heard about the gold shipment. That will perk their interest. Preacher @Bobby Cole , is going to get Mayor @Lon Tanner to repent his sins, give all the crooked money back to our citizens...…. I hope. Boy, he better be a good preacher!!!
Marshall………….. Go form a posse as we will need all the help we can get... Have them hide out of sight, armed, quiet, and ready for action …. If you can get a chest and fill it with stones or bricks or sand to look like a gold shipment.. If you can, put a chain around the chest to make it look like a secure shipment.. Try to place the chest on the stagecoach before it comes into town.. Should the gang steal the chest, they will be in for a BIG surprise.. Remember that gold is heavy so make the chest heavy..
Our undercover man is on his way to the GoToHell gang's camp. There he will let slip that there is a huge gold shipment coming through town.

I have already gathered a posse.. all are armed and just waiting for the Hell Gang to show their faces in Shirleyville. Hopefully if our plans pan out Tanner and the whole gang will be behind bars this time tomorrow.

Come to think of it..the consequences may well improve your business.. tho I aint aiming to kill the gang just capture them...
Seems my doubts about our mortician undertaking this task were unfounded. That surely has baited the hook Mr Von Kleist.. very well done. By the way how many in the gang from your observation? So come midday tomorrow the gang will come riding into town expecting to find a chest full of Federal Gold. I will be inside the wagon with Chief Deputy North dressed as a woman while my other two deputies will be up front. My posse will be out of site until the gang approaches us.
