The Virus problem does not scare me, I just find the whole damn thing depressing and a big interference in my daily living.
That's exactly how many feel, but "it is what it is" and nothing we can do about it except follow the Guidelines given by the Vice President and the two doctors him and President Trump are working with. IOW, most of us have a "daily living" that has been interrupted, but...……..
Cody Fousnaugh said: How are you "mentally" handling this outbreak? Does it scare you? I just read online where Experts are telling Seniors not to get into large crowds. All Australians over 70 have been confined to their homes. One of the latest strict but necessary measures introduced yesterday. The other major one is no more than two people to assemble at any one time when outside. If so $1000 on spot fine. In addition, business owners to receive up to $1,500 per employee fortnightly to keep Australians in work. I suggested this in one of my earlier posts. I also suggested pay householders the money to buy a deep freezer to allow for bulk storage of food. Thus limiting the risky need for grocery shopping.
Seems not everyone is happy with the way President Trump is handling the COVID-19 crisis. Still it is only a scribe and probably a pinko leftie at that. https://www.dw.com/en/opinion-donald-trump-fails-in-coronavirus-crisis/a-52958890
The large medical ship called the Comfort docked in NYC this ship was also used to take prisoners to GITMO in its past. Maybe be after this is over it can make that trip one more time.
Just another Liberal nutcase. The only part that makes any sense is...….. "the president stands a good chance of being re-elected to office in November."
I urge everyone here to view this video and share it with your people. This dr. explains what is happening now that they know more. He is telling people how to stay safe. Please watch the entire thing, share it & take care of yourselves. In 6 hrs. today we went from 325 cases to 386. From 7 dead to 8 dead. This is just in Kansas.
Well, I have just been informed that the virus is among us. I have demanded testing and I have admonished this staff that they played too loose with this from the outset for it was one or more of them who brought it into us. We have been isolated, no visitors, no leaving the building, etc., while the staff comes and goes. Lord only knows where they've been or with whom. Never wore protective suits nor masks in the beginning. Yet, they try to tell me we don't know where it came from. Baloney, I am at high risk with my heart and lung conditions and they tell me to calm down. I am unable to contact my son right now as he is working, but I want him to get a lawyer on this.
@Lois Winters: Lois, I'm sorry to hear this. Don't blame you for being upset. It had to be transmitted within the last couple of weeks I think. They should have known better by now. No excuses.
I just spoke to my son and he said that although they were probably negligent, so have so many other places due to misinformation. So, we will have to hope for the best, but I am really riled up over this.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK209710/ Read this if you want the straight poop on infections. A virus will only enter the body through the eyes, nose and mouth. A virus can be passed to the above from your hands, hence don't touch the above before washing hands. Filter what you breath. Read about bio-terrorism too.
I'm so sorry , Lois. Must be so devastating having this to deal with what has come too close to you and the other residents. Deeply hope you get your tests and answers ASAP. My thoughts are with you.
The Board of Health was just here and brought in a professional medical unit to spray all public and common areas. Impossible to do each and every apartment as we'd have to evacuate, but at least the halls, etc are cleared out. Still staying pretty much isolated. I'd like to know just who is infected and who brought this in. We have lab people and physical therapists in and out of here as well as our own staff. They are pretty sore at me for having accused them of infecting us, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that this is what happened. We haven't been anywhere for a few weeks nor had visitors. I spent 6 weeks as a student nurse affiliating at a communicable and infectious disease facility learning how to prepare and handle any type of outbreak. We certainly had ample time here to prepare properly for this. Don't start running around with masks and gowns after the fact. The train has left the station. Modern medicine could learn a few things from us oldsters. After the atomic bomb and the subsequent making of the hydrogen bomb, we were also taught to handle radiation contamination. Hazmat suits are terrific for all these problems.
