I take it, that that was supposed to be beef stroganoff? We've got that on the menu for this evening.

Lon, have you noticed that they serve rice and either squash and zucchini several times a week at your facility? I live in the Garden State, but you'd never know it. At least tonight we are having a butternut squash and apple casserole which I do fine tasty and no rice.

Yes I have noticed that. Asparagus, Green Beans, Carrots & Pilaf show up often as well. There is a huge variety of fruits & veggies available in this area.

It's Chicken Cacciatore covered over with Seran Wrap--A good meal enjoyed with a can of South African Red Wine

I'm no longer enjoying gourmet meals and service, but the meals are adequate and nutricious. Tonight's fare was poorly seasoned Swedish Meat Balls and less than exciting veggies. I will have several glasses of my own wine to compensate.

Our meals are never seasoned. I have a pantry full of a variety of seasoning for just that reason. We had Chicken Cordon Bleu tonight which I passed on. I learned today that I've gained 10 lbs, so calorie counting has become the watchword of my day. More outdoor walking with Marley as well. I am very upset over this, but I've only myself to blame.

That looks like decent tucker @Lon Tanner. Perhaps when I reach a certain age to be in an assisted living home that I too have food like this.. as I love my tucker. Is nutrition a priority there?

Lon, as a gourmet vegan chef, I have to say that the meals you are being served look like they are properly prepared, and presented with a certain flair.

You certainly must be commended for charting out a life lived intelligently, that has allowed you to enjoy the fruits of your labor in your later years.

It's understandable. We are all paying the price in one way or another. The meals prior to the virus were gourmet and outstanding in every way. Now they are just tasty and boring in addition to our eating alone.

By clicking "like", my intention was not to suggest that I "like" it that your meals have become boring or that you're eating alone. Just so you know.

Suddenly, our meals have gotten better. I guess they've realized we haven't much else, so we have had good food.
