For windshield wipers, perhaps a plastic grocery bag held on with a couple of rubber bands on each. As for cardboard on the windshield, cardboard could get wet from snow and then freeze to the windshield...….not a good idea. Really the only way to protect both is to park in a garage, of which we have, but stuff in it from our move here. So, have to park outside. Unbelievable, but most people who have a garage here, either have another vehicle in it or use it for storage.

We do raise our wiper us in the upright position when we know it's going to snow. But, when part of that snow freezes to solid ice on each wiper, not much can be done.

When we lived here before, we kept our vehicles in the house garage, but that was a 3-car garage at our old house. Our old boat and two vehicles were in it. Our basement had full boxes in it, not in the garage. In the apartment we are in now, have very little storage area, except for our garage we rent per month with our apartment.

And, BTW, thanks for the suggestions.

The pit of my day.. actually the whole week has been coming to terms with how this virus has disrupted us as a family. My only brother and sister in law are concerned that I may have become infected with this blasted virus by my Asian in-laws that I have been locked out of their home until further notice. If you dont have family during a crisis..you find yourself somewhat lost. Still I do have my doggies. They will never abandon me.

Well, don't know about there, but we have a mix of snow/rain coming tomorrow evening into Saturday AM. During the 5 1/2 years we lived here before, we seen a blizzard hit in April and a heavy snow (6 or so inches) hit on Mother's Day Weekend. So, even though it will be around 68 today, we are tumbling down 19 degrees for tomorrow.

Oh well, being under a "Stay At Home" Order, very little outdoor entertainment we can do. We don't do much during the winter months here anyway and, believe it or not, didn't do much during northeastern Florida (Jacksonville) so-called "winters" either.

Where we live has quit a number of Millennials as well as Gen X folks. Have no idea how they are coping with "acting like a Senior". There are also numerous Seniors that live here that love going out to breakfast and going to McDonalds for coffee and talking inside. Every restaurant we've drove by, seemed pretty vacant. Village Inn, Perkins and Breakfast Club are highly known for Seniors eating there, but the inside is closed and haven't seen anyone doing a pick-up.

Peak..........There was a Peak in yesterday's crap. A large flock of Robins landed in yesterday, along with several other spring birds. The border must have considered their travel essential......essential to lift our spirits. :):):).

I don't get it, Micki. You live in Canada and expect the weather to be Spring/Summer like this time of year? I know there are those, that live in snowbelts, that get tired of snow/winter, but when a person lives in an area, like yours, that is very well known for winter...…….

Sorry Cody. Born Canadian, am well aware of our weather patterns, counting this our 7th month of winter as of yesterday. Just felt in the mood to exercise my Canadian right. " Complaining "

That's fine. There are Colorado folks that will complain about the winter weather here as well, but don't even mention about moving to anywhere in the South or Florida. They are totally against that.
