Good morning good people! @Ike Willis , you were one of the lucky ones to have had a loving and protective upbringing, and I kept a cuss box on my coffee table for anyone who dared curse within my hearing. @Terry Page , looks like a wonderful breakfast, and with such lovely company. Dolphin and whales, oh my, you must show us pictures of your adventure. Have fun and stay in the boat. No swimming amongst the critters. @Chrissy Page , Have a good day with your daughter, and don't forget to tell us about the outcome of your grandson's game. I hope your migraines are over for awhile, the visual thing would scare me.
@Ina I. Wonder my grandsons team won the game. Hopefully I won't get another migraine for awhile. Also that vision thing is pretty common with migraines and I'm just grateful I don't get the headache.
Just got home...we went out and did the BIG monthly grocery shopping at a huge retail park about 20 miles away ...with intent on going to the pub for lunch afterwards on our way back when the busiest time was over (usually between 12 and 3pm)...I bought myself a new Royal blue jumper..and a black and red flower print tunic style sleeveless blouse...from the supermarket...both really pretty and in the sales at 1/2 price...so I'm pleased about those. However....Got to the pub restaurant for about 3.45...and it was totally packed still....but we took the only table available, and our whole dinner was totally spoiled by a table of 16 ( 9 children) right next to us where the parents just allowed their children to run amock screaming, fighting, crashing into other diners' tables..etc , and not a word from management to them at all much less any admonishment from the parents for the unruly behaviour. My head was pounding with the noise but we'd already ordered our food so we stuck it out, although we did later make a complaint to the management quietly...who although very apologetic said there was nothing they could do to prevent it happening ...even tho' they have signs everywhere asking for children not to be unaccompanied by an adult.. it's completely ignored. Management gave us our coffees and coffee liqueurs free of charge in way of an apology which was nice of them, and this is our local quiet (albeit busy)village pub so we're not going to give up on it easily, but I'm hoping this isn't going to start happening regularly, or we'll have little choice but to go elsewhere. I know it's hard for management of a restaurant to control children's' behaviour, but really it was upsetting everyone there and altho' the bill for a table of 16 might have been substantial, but is it enough to cover the potential losses caused by the bad reviews that may land on their virtual doorstep by those same stressed and upset diners on review sites ?..
If parents can't get their children to behave then either get a sitter or stay home! I have no patience for misbehaved children!
I can remember that even going to the grocery store much less a restaurant called for being on my best behavior. I remember signs being post telling us that. There was one sign that was in all establishments, but I don't see them as much today. Here is an example that has changed to the second one.
I know why you don't see that sign anymore, Ina. It's politically incorrect. Caucasians are not on the list for one. Whites are suppose to be no different than anyone else. It should say, "We serve everyone without regard to age, race, religion, gender, political or sexual preference, social or economic status." If they want to, they could say, "We serve everyone except those who disturb the peace." Disturbing the peace is illegal so it's okay to say that.
A quick Good Morning everyone have a good night/day Its 5 am here and we are off whale watching see you later
