No, but I love N. Carolina. ( never met Fetchet, except when I had a nice dog) - is that a play on words or what? ( I'm a Hugh-ge fan of puns and plays on words) Went there to college at Mars Hill. Daughter lives there.
For different reasons, my wife didn't like NC. We lived a year in Huntersville. However did enjoy going to the casino in the mountains. Also, drove over to Cape Fear and Wrightsville Beach once. Had never seen the Atlantic before then. My entire Navy career was on the west coast/San Diego-Long Beach. After that year, moved down to Jacksonville, FL for 10 1/2 years, then moved back to Colorado. Definitely shouldn't have spent 10 1/2 years in Jacksonville, let alone Florida. We love the mountains much, much more than the beach.
Welcome to our latest member @Chance Fournier. Come on here and introduce yourself to fellow members.
Looking at the new members group, I have found that there are many, but several have not introduced themselves nor made any comments in the forums so far. At any rate, let's hope to hear from some soon as they are more than welcome to participate and become acquainted. I love to meet new people all the time, so please give a shout out.
The larger percentage of people who join the forum never post, and many of them never return after registering. I don't know why, but this is typical of forums.
Typical, yes, but it actually shouldn't happen here if my "theory" is to be correct. Maybe it's not. This question was raised on any forum I've been a member of. Usually, you can only see some, often less interesting, threads of any forum you are interested in, probably as teasers forcing you to register and join if you want to see the, often more interesting, rest. So people sign up, get the overview they wanted and can only then decide whether they should stay or not. Since there's no hidden content in this forum as far as I know and people get the full picture before joining, I don't really understand why they sign up and never come back. Does anyone else have an idea?
F/A. Forums Anonymous? Perhaps there is an online group which, when a habitual forum seeker finds that they cannot help themselves and register on a forum, they can stop and go to the F/A site and get some counseling. It’s like buying a bottle of booze but not drinking it. Hello, my name is Billy Writesalot and I am a forumoholic. I belong to 7000 forums and I write so much that the letters on my keyboard are no longer existent. I order my food on line and I keep a portapotty next to my desk and no longer remember the names of my wife and kids but I know every forum member on all 7000 forums I belong to. I need help and a sponsor.
