True, if I'm buying something from a new store, I check them out Never done so on a forum, just check out posts and threads to get an idea. Not that I do that anymore, one forum is enough for me
Several times in the past, including once today, I have posted items that I have posted previously, but have forgotten because of my poor memory due to Alzheimers. If the Administrator can recognize that this is not a deliberate occurence, I would be most grateful. Thanks, Hal

A company called GroupBuilder wants to buy the forum. I don't know what they're offering though, because I told them I wasn't interested. As long as I have you on this thread, I'll remind you that anyone who wants to submit a paragraph or two to our About Page is welcome to do so.

I won't be selling it. I only mentioned it because it's a benchmark of success or a milestone when companies start wanting to buy it.
Areyou still the owner of this site? I hope so because 2 forums I was on for years old the site and they are no longer on line or members left.
If you look at Ken’s avatar, you can see that he has been here since 2015, when he started this forum for us seniors, and the post you are quoting from was only made a couple of months ago, @Marie Mallery . . Ken makes NO profit from having this site, and except for what contributions people give him, he also spends all of the money needed to keep the forum website up and running. Probably, most of the forums/websites that are sold are ones that people set up to be monetized.
Well thats good. I am just seeing how long I will be here and plan to donate like I have on most sites and think that all should help with the cost of sites if they can. We spend alot of time on these sites and we should help out.
If you scroll to the very bottom of the page (black on my iPad), there is a box that says “Help pay the bills”, and if you click on that you can make donations to help the forum if you want to do that.
We've had several new members since we last visited this, so I guess I'll bump it. If you're interested in contributing to our About Us page, send it to me in a private message (conversation), whether your comments are bad or good.
