Toe Ketch! Ya just gotta learn to play Toe Ketch. In times when absolute boredom has made the raisins in your oatmeal interesting, then it’s time to learn toe ketch.
When you have counted all the hairs growing on your armpits, toe ketch is next.
When you take your false teeth out and think about Simonizing them, yup, toe ketch.

I have had my lunch of burritos and wine and checked in to SO. I will now take my walker for a walk to check my mail box. The walk will be my exercise for the day. I will return to my apartment after the walk and take a 30 minute nap. I'll then take a look at Netflix until a afternoon snack. AND SO IT GOES.

Yeah, but with nose pick it’s often considered rude if you pick someone else’s. Toe Ketch can be solitaire OR with someone else and the only rule is that the participant(s) have to have a big toe.

Well, it’s easier to explain by example but I’ll try.
First, allow me to build some excitement by telling ya’ll the health advantages of playing the game such as building mental agility and muscle control, brain to muscle connectivity and breath control. It’s also good for the abs if you sit in a chair but unfortunately, not very good for the lower back if someone has problems in that area. You might have to improvise and play “thumb Ketch” which is similar but to me, it’s not as much fun.

The object of the game is as the name indicates, to catch your toe using only your hand. Nope, you can’t use a rock nor a hammer or other blunt instrument as some people use when they play whack a politician, lawyer or cheating spouse. That’s a whole different game. You’re only allowed to use your hand in this one.

Now, there are two ways to play; you either sit on the floor or on a short stool or chair. If you sit on a chair, your bare foot or even feet will naturally be flat on the floor. If you are sitting on the floor, you can sit however you want just as long as you have access to one big bare toe. Don’t mean to get too sexy here by writing bare more than once but I just wanted to make things as clear as possible. Believe it or not, some folks do get excited by the sight of a naked toe so if you get into multiple players, watch out for that one guy who seems too intense.

Okay, ready? With your hand 6” away from your toe but ready and waiting for its prey, wait for your toe to wiggle and then try to catch it. If your toe is anything like mine, its a sly devil and will curl up and avoid being caught the very second before a hand gets there!

Note: Aye, but my right one is the worse because it has a total mind of its own and will even taunt me and wiggle even when I have my shoes on. I stomped on it once but again, that’s against the rules.

Note 2. If you wish, you can do as the experts do and sit cross legged and play double ketch. Two toes, two hands, two wiggles, one brain.

Try it! It’s gotta be better than “playing solitaire till dawn with a deck of 51” !
