I wouldn't because I won't have a paycheck to be direct deposited working for Amazon. I am not aware of Facebook's buying opportunities except for the Marketplace.

Working for Facebook would probably be stuff like password resets and other customer service requests associated with the individual's account. (Name change, help with settings, etc.)

Is it "ok" if my wife wouldn't want to work for either? Really folks, her job search is hers and nobody else's.

IOW, quit picking on my wife! LOL

Didn't Ken do a thread about "bantering"??

Why? Nobody in this forum is looking for a job.

Working at home is still WORKING!

I retired so I wouldn't have to work, and my retirement income is quite sufficient.

Working at home in my mind is not necessarily work. To me it would be an opportunity to do something beside "playing" with my computer

Do you mean start an online business on those or actually work for the corporation?

I did the "telecommute" thing a few years before I got laid off (which shoved me into early retirement.) My employer actually forced us out of our offices in order to save money. That's what enabled me to move to the country and keep my DC-area job.

Now that we all have computers and the internet integrated into our lives, that line between work and play has been eradicated. When I worked from home, I would be on a forum just as I am now, and would have my work email open in another tab just in case something came up I could knock out real quick. Lots of my coworkers did the same thing.

It was interesting because I was always old-school "bright-line" between work and home. But as you said, being on the computer is our default state. What we actually do is somewhat irrelevant, huh?

I am. I'd like to work part-time. Working outside the home at a job gives me a passion for life that nothing else does. Actually, when I was with my narcissist guy that gave me a HUGE passion for life, but it wasn't a healthy one.
