I was going through deleting lots of photos yesterday and here is my kitchen that is mostly the same room as the family / tv room the breakfast bar divides the two areas I’m not a person who likes red normally but my kitchen being so light it needed something to give it a contrast The bay window is a pain it’s 3 mt wide and a pain to clean
Louise.. That onion was from last year.. it is absolutely NO good as it was outside all winter.. I just didn't notice it when I brought in the crop in the fall.. I already planted almost 100 new onions so far this year.. They should be ready come September...
I was supposed to fill up the new raised garden today with bags of soil.... I didn't as it was way too hot.. We has 34c and not a cloud in the sky and absolutely no breeze.. I feltlike a BBQ chicken out there.. Besides, I was too tired from working a few days and needed a day off to rest.. Tomorrow and for the next 2 days we are having rain which means more time at home to rest and do some chores in the house..

The onions I grow are for cooking only...….. They last me almost till the next year.. actually, I have some from last year in the fridge.. Cooking only.. I don't give them to anyone.. Actually, there isn't anyone to give them to..
I finally finished filling up the last box and tomorrow we will be planting seeds and some tomato plants we started in the house..
We planted today even though it was very hot.. We got up very early and planted till almost noon and then came in as it was 34c as a temperature with a humidex of over 40c... I also watered the plants and seeds after planting..

Today Thursday, we are out of town.. We are going to Sudbury to the KIA dealer for my car.. Somehow my air conditioning doesn't work in the car and it is under warranty, so why not have them fix it.. This will be our first visit out of town since the pandemic hit.. We will be wearing our masks, have hand sanitizer, and be extremely cautious.. Sudbury has NO new cases in the past 2 weeks and so far, it is safe but we will still be cautious..
Steve, it went from cold to hot at your house all in a dab, didn't it? The trip was good. The weather was fine, caught a few fish; not enough to brag about, though. But it's always good to get back home. No virus, thankfully.
Shirley... you are perfectly right on that one.. 2 weeks ago we had snow and now it is 40c with the humidex....Temperature of 34c is totally crazy.. For next week, they are calling for nighttime temps of 0c which is again crazy... Remember, a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at the office..... So you didn't catch that many, they will be there for you the next time..
