Arthritis I have help many people here get rid of arthritis pain and have it never return. There was a woman helped up the hill where I live she had trouble walking because of pain in her knees twenty minutes later she walked down the hill unaided and now tells the world about her cure. I have seen this over and over again with people with back pain who have been going for therapy for years being able to stop and get back to living. The worst thing for joint health is most pain killer as they stop the natural healing of the body. Which in turn feels good as the body becomes worse. MELAXACOM 7.5mg ……. once daily at breakfast with food... I have been on that for many years and it surely helps … originally I was on two pills a day but I have now been advised to take only one a day and it is the same relief... In Canada, there is NO CHARGE for prescriptions... Costs me nothing … Works great...
@Steve North Were you seeking understanding of Meloxicam, or touting free prescriptions? Or both? We all know you folks up there get nothing for "free", just as we do not. Your tax rates are higher than ours. I have Meloxicam (also called Mobic), have taken it several times, felt little effect on my pain, stopped taking it upon learning it is an NSAID (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug, like Aspirin, Ibuprofen, etc.). Check below, true for all NSAIDs: Serious side effects Call your doctor right away if you have serious side effects. Call 911 if your symptoms feel life-threatening or if you think you’re having a medical emergency. Serious side effects and their symptoms can include the following: Heart attack. Frank.. I have been taking not only meloxicam for years but other NSAID for about almost 40 years and I have absolutely NO side effects at all.. They have been helping me to no end and so far, I have no intentions of stopping them.. Weather we pay or don't pay isn't the issue here.. it is the benefit of taking some sort of arthritis supplement that will definitely not only help you, but eliminate all symptoms, and give you a quality of life.... In my case, NSAID is the answer.. if I was to get some side effects, I would have them after 40 years.. If it will cut my life short, its too late as I am way past the age of being cut short.....
@Steve North I am sorry if I offended you with my concern for NSAIDs. Of course G.I. linings vary with the individual, and bleeding from use of NSAIDs varies also, from none all the way to death. For some, the statistics may guide them (such as, detectable bleeding in 5% of chronic users of Ibuprofen). In my book, ANY bleeding is unacceptable as an excuse to take the drug in comparison to it's usefulness as a painkiller. I once saw a sectioned human stomach lining of a user of NSADs, and it's appearance was shocking: blood-red. Frank
@Frank Sanoica All these drug make the pain go away as it stops the body from repairing the damaged done so the problem only gets worse. They will tell you we can put in a metal joint to solve the problem only to have it replaced. A friend had both knees replaced because all the cartilage was gone only to have the cartilage scraped out of the joints every six month because it had grown back after she stopped her pain killers
I see others mention turmeric. I don't have arthritis but was recently speaking with someone who has suffered from it for year. He finally got relief and went off meds with a supplement from General Nutrition that contains a high amount of turmeric. I'm sure any turmeric supplement would do the same thing. It seems that inflammation is the root of a lot of health evils.
Frank... I have had both hips replaced as well as both shoulders replaced.. right hip...….....… August 2007 left hip ………...... December 2009 left shoulder ,,,,,…October 2010 right shoulder ..... July 2017 I am checked every two years and so far, there isn't any worry.. The oldest hip is still good for many years to go.. I have absolutely NO pain from the replacements.. Most of the time, I forget I have them.. I still work the fields with my tractor as well as building projects like 2 raised gardens, fences, replacing patio floors, and whatever has to be done around here.. Now, I also have more arthritis in the other joints that the NSAID is keeping under very good control.. Absolutely NO side effects from them.. The reason for my replacements is, I played semi pro hockey in the mid 1950's.. In those days, they didn't have the equipment they have today to protect the body.. I was an aggressive player which didn't help.. Got banged up plenty which is why I am in this mess today..
I just order a bottle of CBD Oil (eye dropper bottle) that will be the Full Spectrum type, meaning it will have .03% THC in it. A person uses the eye dropper to put on the tongue and then drink some coffee. I talked to a Rep of the company, here in Colorado, and she told me that the Full Spectrum is much more preferred over the Regular (no THC). Full Spectrum does cost more, but last longer and that's exactly what I want. A person can either use the dropper full or part of it. For me, starting out, a partial dropper! Hopefully, this oil will help me to take much less ibuprofen daily. Later, after all of this "virus" thing dies down, both of my shoulders checked out again. Have had a rotator cuff surgery in each and, from a previous x-ray, have osteoarthritis in each now.
Ask your doctor what is causing the pain and if he does not know why is he treating it. If the cause is a lack of cartilage would it not be a smart idea to eat cartilage to replace what is missing. I have helped many people here by telling them correct their diet and get pure gelatin which is cartilage. and maybe wear a copper bracelet which will let the body absorb a small amount of copper. Your body needs copper to make elastin that is the stretchy fiber in the body needed around joints.
