I like to dip mine in cottage cheese.. it is healthy and doesn’t take much for a filling snack that way.
Jalapeno anything makes my eyes water so bad not to mention drinking water from the spiciness, whew! I stay away from it.
I occasionally dip potato chips in sour cream. I used to love onion dip when I was a kid but I haven't bought it in years.
When we made onion dip as a kid, it was always onion soup mix + cream cheese with the hand mixer. I've made an adult one with caramelized sweet onions, sour cream and buttermilk. Yeh, it's good.
I see. An Equal Opportunity Neon Muncher, eh? Every once in a while I get a craving for these. You gotta wonder what's lacking in my diet that would make me want these. Same thing with Fritos. Just every few months they jump off the shelf and into my cart.
I drink a lot of water and use one of those large mugs you get at the hospital. I'm always sipping out of that thing. The worse part is that nasty orange gunk & stain on the white plastic rim.
So I was thinking about Sweet & Salty. I used to make my own chocolate covered almonds, and would sprinkle them with coarse sea salt. Good stuff!
I don't give in to it often, but perhaps my favorite snack is potato chips and French Onion dip. When I used to eat chips more often, that wasn't so big of a deal but it's hard to justify the empty calories in potato chips and dip so I rarely have it now, which simply enhances the appeal.
I like mixing it up with raw veggies. Just the occasional salty chip intermingled with broccoli and carrots makes the chip taste even better.
I like raw garlic sandwiches! I chop up a few cloves of garlic and spread them evenly on Rye Bread. My wife can tell hours later that I've made a garlic sandwich! Hal
