Joe Riley has left a couple of times. I'm not aware of anything, in particular, going on, so hopefully, he'll be back again.
I think that @Joe Riley left because his "Joe's Coffee Shop" thread was merged with another coffee thread. His coffee shop was here from the beginning and I don't blame him for being upset when it was merged. It was one of my favorite threads, I haven't posted there since it was merged.
Seriously?? I hadn't noticed that his thread was missing; where did it go? I have seen several threads merged lately that don't even make sense; really annoying when trying to find something.
I remember that one coffee shop thread was closed at his request, but then he started a new one. I hate that he was upset, though.
He asked me to close the thread because he was leaving. Later, he came back and opened another thread just like it. There's nothing to see here.
I don't know. I didn't do anything with it - at least not that I can remember. It was a long time ago. But the one he started "from the beginning" is still here. I even left a post before closing it explaining that it was closed at his request, and could just as easily be reopened. Apparently, that's not enough to keep people from complaining anyhow, though.
FWIW, I'm not complaining about the closure of the thread he requested to be closed. I'm complaining about the merging of some threads that don't make sense. Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things.
