I know several people who have bought and worn copper bracelets. They didn't help a bit. Money wasted. Like all those other quackery recommendations.

The problem with medical theories like copper bracelets is that there isn't really any way of determining whether or not they were effective. If you didn't get whatever it was that you were wearing the bracelet to protect you from, can you know that you would have gotten it otherwise? If you wore one to protect you from something that you nevertheless got, that doesn't prove that the bracelet was ineffective either because established medical procedures or remedies are rarely, if ever, a hundred percent effective. Medical researchers can look at the properties of a copper bracelet and theorize that there is nothing there that could reasonably be expected to be therapeutic, but medical researchers are routinely proven wrong, which is why medical science is constantly changing.

For example, it's been more than fifteen years since my cancer was treated with radiation therapy and there has been no hint of a return of cancer. However, many people who receive the same treatment for the same problem are not so fortunate, and others relapse within a year or two. But can I know that my cancer wouldn't have gone away had I opted for apricot pits instead?

I personally don't believe that a copper bracelet would be effective against arthritis, which is why I haven't bought one. But then, I didn't believe that CBD oil would help either. While it certainly didn't cure me of arthritis, it does remove the pain for the rest of the day, usually, if I take it in the early afternoon.

The people that I mentioned had arthritis. They bought into the fraud that a copper bracelet would help reduce their pain. They didn't.

Some people are quick to jump on anything that is outside of the medical system as quackery a term invented by the medical system. I did not say that a copper bracelet would get rid of pain but if you read my thread it says that copper is needed by the body to make elastin a substance the body needs for many things. I do the research into medical literature that the doctors are not. Here is more on copper and elastin from pubmed which is publish medical research.

Exactly. My little MIL fell for that a few years ago. She said she liked the southwestern look of the bracelet but it did zilch for her arthritis pain.

Since my arthritis is of the Rheumatoid family, it is in the blood and my entire body is affected to some degree. I usually just take aspirin and use a Lidocaine patch on a flared spot. I cannot take many meds as I unfortunately have adverse affects from most.

Copper bracelets are the answer claimed by many. Still others root for magnets. Magnets! Can you imagine? Perhaps they affect the hemoglobin which contains iron............

I made a post on copper bracelets long time ago. Copper bracelet 101
It explained about copper deficiencies and the benefits. At no time have I ever said it would stop the pain of arthritis but people read what they want out of what I say. Copper is needed by the body to make elastin that little stretchy fiber in the body so you can move and return to normal [elastic band idea] your arteries move expand and contract, your lungs expand and contract all these things and more need that fiber called elastin. You might never know if you are deficient or not unless you have wrinkles on your face or gray to white hair these can be a sign.
Make your own copper bracelet amazon has ¼ inch copper tubing for about $1 per foot and for a man you would need 6 inches. Flatten with a hammer or vice you have a 50 cent bracelet. Probably the cheapest medicine you will ever find.
Here is some latest news from the medical system that copper might protect you against covid19

There is no golden bullet to help or cure anything but it is nice to have all different ammo.

Some foods are inflammatory foods, and when they cause inflammation, then we have pain somewhere in the body. It is like @Martin Alonzo said about our body needing copper, but just wearing a copper bracelet is not necessarily going to stop the pain. If we are eating a diet of mostly inflammatory foods, then we are probably going to still have arthritis pain, regardless of whether we have enough copper in the diet or not.
Just changing our diet is not going to stop all of the pain either; but it helps also.
To me, a person should do as much as they can to stop pain naturally before resorting to taking medications which are often harmful to our liver and kidneys.

Here is information from the Mayo Clinic about how adding anti-inflammatory foods to our diet can help ease pain.
https://newsnetwork.mayoclinic.org/...rains, those sorts of things," says Dr. Ardon.

Yvonne May I add a little to your good post.
Most people who get over major ailments all done the same thing.
I don’t know about Ken getting over his cancer but I think if you ask him he did.
Most life threatening diseases through fear change their life style change their diet or exercise. Or even adding a supplement. The people who rely only on medical dogma end up as statistic. All the people I know that beat chronic diseases all made life style changes. The people who still have the problems but say they are fine are on some sort of drug.
I knew many people who had arthritis and the people who I have spoken with now do not suffer any more. I do not know of anyone who I have spoken with has arthritis now.

After 84 years, Arthritis has finally decided to come in and roost!

It's in both hands, but isn't so severe that it prevents me from playing the Piano or the Computer keyboard, thank God!

It's only painful when I try to make a fist, otherwise, no discomfort.

I might get a pair of Therapy Balls and squeeze them during the day.

Any recommended meds to relieve the pain?

    Thanks
    Hal
