Both your example and Ken’s latest purchase have some advantages but alas, if the mask cannot be placed under the chin, well, it is just not the type of thing one should be wearing this season. I mean, all the best models worn by the very best people can be seen hanging from one ear or neatly tucked under the chin and easily stored in a man’s back pocket or for the ladies, stored uh, where grandmother used to keep her hankie. .Anything less is simply ...gauche.
My wife tells me that one of the maskers in the grocery store took her mask off so that she could talk to someone in the produce section, placing her mask on top of the oranges while she was talking. Quite likely, this is a woman who would lecture someone not wearing a mask.
My goodness, I can see how it would offend someone. I mean, the governor is probably a jerk but isn’t it a bit like wearing blackface?
Beginning Monday you will be required to wear a mask if you want to shop at Walmart or Sam's club. In addition Kroeger and Kohls have also made the same policy. These establishments are joining a few others who've already made the changes .. American Eagle Outfitters, Apple, and Costco Wholesale Club. It won't be long before many other will join in. Perhaps those of you who refuse to wear a mask might want to spend the weekend stocking up so you don't have to deal with it beginning Monday. Of course you could always go to Georgia where that Governor has decided to make his state a mask free state .. good luck with that working out in a positive and healthy fashion.
Direct from ABC News......... https://abcnews.go.com/Health/us-st...uirements at all. Which states require masks?
It seems that the wearing of masks (and gloves) has sparked a new way for kids to buy booze. In the news this morning they were saying that kids are dressing up as if they were older, wearing their masks and gloves to buy alcohol. Some states do not require the checking of an ID if someone looks over the age of 25+ so our younger generation has developed yet another way to procure booze. How do we know, one might ask? Well, some kids were so impressed with their skills that they published their devilry via whatever social media they enjoy.
Yeah, I too like the sign and I understand the HIPPA thing but the 4th amendment deals with searches and seizures so right off the top of my head, I can’t see how that applies.
Starting on the 20th of July, Walmart and Cosco are requiring a mask to be worn inside each and every store. There will be some kind of Rep, not the typical Greeter, standing outside with masks for anyone who does not have one. The online article and CNN states that both stores are very serious about people wearing a mask into the store. Wonder how this is going to play out with those customers who absolutely refuse to wear one and will confront the Rep about that? When I had asked a store employee a week or so ago, about making a customer wear one, she told me "we are told, by store management, not to confront any customer not wearing one, so we don't".
Things have changed and they will enforce it. There are several places in our town that have been doing that. You have not mask you may not enter. Try to force the issue and you are creating a disturbance and will be asked again to wear a mask or leave .. last step .. free ride in police car. Nobody should be caught off guard .. it's being made abundantly clear. If you don't like that you have to wear a mask just go to another place to spend your money because I am sure there are plenty who would love your business.
Oh, let's see. I quit Sam's Club years ago, and the last time I was in a Walmart was about a year ago, and then only to get my wife, who was getting her hair, or nails, or something, done. I think I can do without these easily enough. Besides, the CEO is already trying to walk it back to say that they will only require it in places where the state requires it.
When they quit counting 2 or more positive tests on the same person as individual positives, I’ll get more serious. When they quit filling in the blanks with presumed positives, I’ll get more serious. When they quit assuming everyone who surrounds a person who has tested positive, as positive, I’ll get more serious. When numbers like those recently revealed in Florida whereby it was touted that all the tests were 98% positive but found to actually be 9.4% positive, I’ll get more serious. When people who die are not automatically listed as Covid-19 positive, I’ll get more serious. When people who have filled in the paperwork for testing, but have not yet been tested aren’t informed by mail that they were Covid-19 positive, I’ll get more serious. When a governor can say that people should be masked at all times and closes the local churches but yet vows that protest marches by BLM are acceptable, I’ll get more serious. When stores selling alcoholic beverages are touted as being essential is changed, I’ll get more serious. When where and how we can vote is being debated and mail in voting is even being considered but riots and protests are being overlooked is re-examined, I’ll be more serious. There are about 10 more points I can bring up that will make me more serious if they were straightened out but alas, they won’t be so it’s pretty much time wasted. It’s a given that Covid-19 exists and I’d be counted as an idiot if I didn’t believe it exists but they who are blowing this whole thing up to beyond redemptive proportions into some form of hysteria are, for all intensive purposes, monsters. If it were simply about wearing a mask (which I do just to go with the flow) it would be one thing but sadly......it ain’t about wearing a mask so why get serious?
