Oh, I can never pick just one. I love Rocky Road, butter pecan, coffee, and plain old chocolate. And most other flavors, too.
Every 3rd Sunday in July is National Ice Cream Day!!!! Dairy Queen: $1 off for a dipped cone, BUT, a person has to download their app to get the $1 off discount. Love their ice cream, but darn sure don't want their app!
There are no DQs near me, but I agree. I only have one app on my phone. The rest require to many "permissions." And I don't need to have yet one more company using my communications device as an Attached-to-my-hip marketing tool.
I just bought freeze pops and ice cream and cones for my grandbabies. I wasn't even thinking of it being an eventful day or month. It's just plain hot and having a cool treat around sweetens the day.
It is sooooooo good!!! The only ting I miss about living in the DC area is the food: the variety of restaurants, and the variety of ethnic grocery stores. Even the state capital is sorely lacking. I have a list of meals I want if I ever get back up that way. You haven't had Mexican until you've had it made by Burmese!!! Maybe I'll spend a week at the Ramada, do the DC tourist stuff, and get my feed bag on.
Ha ha - I think you should. Woh - don't overdo it though make sure its a sensible size bag Same here, hard to find Italian ice cream
Stopped at DQ yesterday, but got two banana splits instead. Since the drive-thru line was so long, decided to dawn my mask and go inside while wife sat in Durango. Told the DQ employee "whipped cream and nuts on both" and only mine had that. Wasn't as much ice cream in split as usual either. Didn't complain, just went home and used our whipped cream and Spanish nuts. After that "inside order", will go back to siting in line in drive-thru to get ice cream. Although, even ordering thru drive-thru, DQ got our order wrong twice and had to send back. The banana splits were good though!
